Valerian "Val" Moore

Charismatic and free spirited, Valerian is a florist who takes great care in creating bouquets and spreading his knowledge of botany to anyone who will listen. Val has always been enchanted by flowers, plants, and mushrooms alike. He followed his passions and now owns the small flower shop he worked at through his college years after the previous owner retired. When customers come in looking a little lost, Val takes the time to sit with them and ask about their intentions. He loves listening to how his customers talk about the receiver and strives to create something that will convey his customer’s feelings properly.

When he’s not in the shop, Val fills his days with foraging, spending time with friends and family, and daydreaming about the what ifs. Val can be found out in various state parks and hiking trails foraging for mushrooms and other edible herbs and fruits. He can usually find enough to allow him to make some pretty interesting meals throughout the week and is always ready to share his recipes with friends and family.

When things get too complicated, he takes a deep breath and reminds himself that he doesn’t need to be in a rush. While some may think he’s stalling, Val just thinks of it as doing things at his own pace. He feels incredibly lucky to be able to do what he loves most but every once in a while, he daydreams about going to graduate school and becoming a field botanist. Val goes back and forth on the idea since he feels so satisfied at this particular moment.
