Leonard

A timid botanist that lives in a quieter section of Lotus. Like the rest of the city, he suffered memory loss, and cannot remember his full name - only that he was called Leonard, and that he had a doctorate in plant biology. His appearance is considered frightening by many of the inhabitants of the city; as such, he hides himself away actively, residing in his tiny home below the city near the waterways. There, he tends to a garden of various plants, unbeknownst to a great majority of the population. Though he is lonely, he'd rather be alone than stared at by everyone in town, and he comforts himself by surrounding himself with plant life. Of course, he does have to come out from time to time for food and other necessities, but he tries to do so under the cover of night, or at least take roads where he may not be spotted.

 There are a few who know him; they get to enjoy his shy but pleasant personality, and also his tendency to ramble on and on about anything he holds an interest in. Leonard has low self-esteem and treats everyone he meets with the utmost respect; one gets the sense that he'd be easy to take advantage of by someone less kind. He bottles up his feelings and tries to always look forward with kindness. He rarely gets angry, but when he does, it's a sight to behold.

He's capable of chirping by rubbing a series of spines on his back legs against a hard-to-see file on one of his abdominal sternites.
