DESCRIPTION
Teddy lives with his friends and coworkers, works at a tattoo parlor as a tattooist. He can be a bit of an anxious guy but tries to not let anyone else know what's going on in his head. He can be a bit reserved when it comes to displaying affection. Prefers to be more private about his romantic endeavors. Even when it comes to his friends he can be a little stiff if given a hug, but he is happy to be included anyway.
APPEARANCE
Teddy has black hair cut into a mullet with shaved sides, with some bleached streaks in his bangs. He has 2 hoop eyebrow piercings in his left eyebrow and a slit cut into the right. He has stretched ears with plugs. Teddy has a medium complexion and pronounced dimples. He has many tattoos on his body. He often wears long sleeves so most of the tattoos are covered up but most notable is a visible portrait of a devil on his neck
About
Family
Teddy has a pretty good relationship with his parents, he regularly calls them and they try to get together to have meals together as a family. They were casually religious when Teddy was growing up but ever since Teddy's older sister passed away, they have leaned into their faith more to find some sort of hope. They are supportive of Teddy's identity as a gay mam, though they can be a little overbearing if he ever brings a partner over. Perhaps overcompensating, they don't want to ever give off the idea that they don't approve of their gay son. But they probably don't like him getting so many tattoos, especially ones of a devil OOPS. They do support his art, just don't understand it all the time.
Teddy definitely was a bit taken aback by his sister's death. It wasn't a sudden occurance as she got sick and had been for a while, but the reality of her being gone was something he had to take in stride. Getting back to normal social situations was hard after this but he's since got back into the swing of things. The subject can be a bit sore at times though.

Relationships
Sammy [ friend, ex-roommate ]
They were college roommates before Teddy dropped out, they still remain friends after that though. Sammy tries to get Teddy to be more wild and silly when they're together, but Teddy's calmed down a lot since college. Sammy will keep working on him though!! Teddy is secretly glad Sammy doesnt give up on him :')
Drew [ ex boyfriend ]
Drew and Teddy first met at a bar and Drew spilled a drink on him because he saw his ex girlfriend (who didnt know he's gay) show up, OOPS. Despite this roadblock Teddy tries to be brave and see him again, hopefully under better circumstances. Without interruption this time they hit it off and they head back to Teddy's place. All is going well until oops, another interruption-- roommate Kurt accidentally walks in on them. (see comic in the image section). Despite all the troubles getting together they keep trying to make it work. They end up in a kind of dating relationship, its moving quickly and Drew is spending alot of time staying over. and Teddy finally thinks, this is going well :)
Drew breaks up with Teddy when the stress of potentially being found out finally gets to him. Its his first gay relationship and his paranoia is getting to him. Teddy takes it very hard. He desperately tries to talk it out but Drew already made up his mind so Teddy has to drive him home while being on the verge of tears :'))))) it takes Teddy a while to recover from all of this.
* in some AUs, they are able to reconnect after this break and work some things out.
Banschee [ roommate, coworker ]
Teddy and Banschee were both apprentices at the same tattoo studio, so they know of each other through that. They start carpooling together once they are officially tattoo artists. Banschee offhandedly mentions one day that they need another roommate to pay for bills where she is staying, and Teddy figures if we're driving to work together, save me the trip of having to pick you up... he needs a new place to stay anyway. And so the roomie squad grows one more... They kind of annoy each other from time to time, but its in an affectionate sibling kind of way. Banschee drives his car all the time now. Their car now. It is a mess with food trash and clothes, a busy little car!
Kurt [ roommate, and maybe more...? ]
They share a room in the house that The Roomie Squad lives in. They also work together, Kurt doing piercings at the tattoo shop Teddy works at. They get along great but Kurt is outgoing and affectionate and it can be alot for Teddy sometimes, who can be more reserved. Not to mention that being in such close quarters someone's always walking in on the other while they're having private time. But Kurts an especially helpful friend to have when the aforementioned breakup happens, always trying to cheer him up and get him out of his funk.
It takes some time for Teddy to realize that he has feelings for Kurt. In previous relationships there had been a sense of nervousness at the start, but he didn't have that same feeling with Kurt, having been friends with him for so long. Being with Kurt is just so cozy that he didn't realize a crush was forming. When they start dating, things just start to fall into place! This is great news!
Peaches [ roommate ]
Peaches, the newest roommate of the bunch, is easy to get along with, but they don't really hang out alone. They don't know each other as deeply as the others but her chill vibe is a welcome addition to the household. She's also always happy to help with car troubles so thats a bonus too.
