Nico Calvaruso (♡ w/ Lucien)

So one day Lucien went to another one of Vincent’s performances and he thoroughly enjoyed it. He went by himself this time since he had a day off and it just so happened to line up with this concert. Lucien was so happy xD So once it was over and he lags behind the crowd letting them leave first. He sees Sigmund and went over to him, complementing the performance. Sigmund thanks him and says that Vincent would be glad to hear that. Lucien felt happy hearing that lol. The two started discussing about the future concerts that Vincent would take part in, and Lucien gets to know some concert dates and locations., all of which he would be too busy to attend except for one at the furthest date. But he says he'll try and make time to go see it. Then Sigmund got called away for some business so he says goodbye to Lucien and walks away.

When Lucien was about to leave, he felt a hand on his shoulder and that startled him. He turns around to see who was it that tried to get his attention, and he comes face to face with an older man. The other man asks how was it like to meet Vincent in person the last time. This startled Lucien because this man was a complete stranger and yet he knew about him meeting Vincent. When Lucien counters with a question on how he knows this, the other man introduces himself as the genuis pianist Nico Calvaruso and declared himself as Vincent’s number one fan and that he’s alllllllways watching him. He starts going into a monologue about how much he admires Vincent and that he’s been to every single one of his performances ever since his debut, and he has a huge collection of fliers, posters, and merch from throughout the years. He’s just bragging at this point. But then he says that in all of his life of being an avid supporter, he has never ever gotten the chance to actually meet him, and he starts showing his jealousy at Lucien (without himself realizing it) saying that he couldn't believe Lucien got the opportunity and himself didn't.

Lucien retorts saying something like “well if you quit stalking him then maybe you can get a genuine meeting too” and Nico is taken aback, showing a rather dramatic response. He wanted to say something back, but couldn't think of anything clever. He then puts on a sad face, saying someone like Vincent wouldn't be willing to meet himself, since he's basically a nobody. he adds saying Lucien is a nobody too but….more a lucky nobody. Nico sighs, saying he just wishes Vincent could notice him, because one of his dreams is to be the pianist at one of his concerts (and maybe at all of the rest as well) aaaand, possibly get together with him romantically lmao but he knows that one is a long shot. Nico looked really pitiful and sad that Lucien felt a little bad for him, so he decided to tell Nico Vincent’s future concert dates, and Nico perks up a lot, then looks in disbelief how he knows this information since it wasn’t released into the public. Lucien says he is acquainted with his manager, and Nico remembers instantly who that was. He says that Sigmund has caught him a number of times before, but had always left him off with a warning; Nico says he as surprised Sigmund doesn’t have him arrested as yet. Lucien reply, saying that maybe seeing him lurk around might be amusing, knowing Sigmund. Nico thinks about this then laughs in agreement. Then pesters Lucien for those concert dates, and Lucien gives them. Nico is delighted and starts his planning to go traveling and seeing them and in his excitement he asks Lucien if he’ll be able to see them there too, and Lucien replies saying hopefully at the last one, since he’ll be available then. Nico makes a face saying that if Lucien were a number one fan, he’ll attend all of Vincent’s concerts without a doubt. Lucien retorts, saying he has a responsibility called a job to do so he couldn't make time even if he wanted. Nico asks why, and Lucien looks up at him funny, saying that he needed to make money somehow! Nico then made a face of realization, saying “ohhhhhhh. I forget people do so.” Nico comes from old money, so when he says this Lucien makes a face of his own saying “oh well lucky you then.” then turning to leave.

Nico felt a little bad all of a sudden, since he realizes he was being a little insensitive, so he stops Lucien again to apologize about his insensitivity and he offers to buy his concert ticket on the last date/ Lucien refuses at first but Nico kept insisting, saying that he knows it isn’t much for him to do so, but he’s willing to be courteous. Lucien Then says he wouldn’t know if he’ll actually make it or not, to this Nico replies that even if he couldn’t he could just resell the ticket or give it away. After trying to refute him many times and failing, Lucien reluctantly accepts, and Nico is delighted, taking out his phone and ready to exchange numbers, which they do (and here is when Nico finally gets to know Lucien’s name lol). Nico is cheery again, and says he’ll be looking forward to their next meeting while happily leaving the theater. Lucien looks at Nico as he’s leaving, hoping this isn’t something he’d regret later.

Lucien:

In a way Lucien falls for Nico in a kinda typical way; when he hangs out with Nico he discovers different sides to him and his charms and it got to a point where Lucien would look forward to seeing Nico and stuff. There were times where he didn't want to stop thinking about him or his mind would wander to him and wonder about some mundane things that Nico might do or might like in some situations. He found it enjoyable to talk to another Vincent Mortello fan, and as time goes in Lucien got to see Nico’s extensive collection if things he gathered and was pretty impressed; some of the first items were a little older than Lucien himself so he thought it was so cool. He found Nico’s piano playing style to be unique, since it was; Nico has his own style of playing that could have mixed review since it's different and he does put his own spin on things, but once used to it one could tell that he is an expert at what he does. Lucien even made up part of some lyrics to one of Nico’s original composition ideas. In short, he just really enjoys his company, and when they go out Nico makes Lucien do things he wouldn't have thought to do before, more adventurous things that Lucien might be too timid or afraid to try. The experience is a real eye opener to him and although he might be iffy about it, he was glad to at least try something new. Most of the time is like a new adventure when with Nico. In the end he doesn't realize how much he had fallen for him until his step bro Petras teases him about his potential suitors and about how he's been with Nico a lot.

Nico:

Whenever he and Lucien hung out Nico really likes his company, since he has a fellow Vincent fan to talk to and go brag to and to enjoy concerts with when the two could go together. Nico started dubbing Lucien “Vincent's #2 fan” since they could have actual conversations together. He couldn't do that before with general fans (of Vincent or of opera), or fake fans.

What really struck his heart though, was when he heard Lucien sing. Once he was lurking around as usual in a concert hall Vincent was rehearsing in, and for some reason Lucien was there too. He felt really jealous at first but kept himself hidden behind some objects off stage. He heard Vincent sing some part of a piece and he felt overjoyed to hear him practice. But then he saw Vincent invite Lucien to the stage and say to sing the same part, and Lucien was extremely nervous at first but he got the courage to sing it. When Nico heard Lucien's voice, his eyes widened and his breath hitched in his throat. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, and didn't want to take his eyes off him. He didn't even notice Sigmund come up behind him and tap his shoulder. When he spun around and noticed Sigmund, the other man was surprised to see thin trails of tears on Nico’s face. Nico got up from his hiding spot and ran out the theater, his heart pounding. He hasn't felt this overwhelmed since the first time he heard Vincent's voice. He stopped in a park and sat on a bench to catch his breath. Lucien's voice… it was amazing. Before, when Lucien mentioned once that he could sing opera, Nico pestered to hear it but Lucien refused, saying it would be too embarrassing and that he couldn't compare to Vincent. But after hearing so, a brief thought flashed in his mind, that maybe someday…. Lucien could surpass Vincent… but he shook that thought out of his mind. Of course no one could surpass Vincent; he's the greatest opera singer ever! But somehow he had small doubts hiding in his mind. Lucien was a really good singer.

Nico kinda had a thing for nice voices, so when he first heard of Vincent's it was like he fell in love. But now he's having conflicted feelings about Lucien as well and all of this was really confusing. He spent sleepless nights replaying that scene in his head, even going to search up the piece that was sang and trying to play it on the piano. He decided to find ways to make Lucien sing for him, and eventually he does and he gets really happy hearing Lucien sing. He starts seeing Lucien in a new light, noticing small details in his expressions and personality he might have missed before. He may be a bit pushy in the way he would show affection but it's because he doesn't know how to express his feelings in words so well, when it comes to him or love, so he tries to show it through actions.

At this point both of them really like each other. Lucien figures out how much he really liked Nico. However he wonders how much Nico really likes him back. Then Lucien realizes something that didn't seem right; whenever the two hung out recently, he noticed how frequent Nico asked him to sing something. Usually this shouldn't be a problem but every time they meet up there's a chance that they might do something related to music, while Lucien would rather not do so and focus on something else. Suddenly he gets a really unnerving thought and he had to make sure it wasn't true. So one evening he called Nico to go meet with him and they go to the park and walk around and stuff. Then Lucien asks him “what do you like about me?” and Nico hesitates a little bit but his first response was how he liked his voice, and this irks Lucien, and it became even more so when Nico started giving compliments related to his voice. Lucien then asks what else does Nico like about him besides his singing to which Nico replies saying he likes talking about Vincent with him. Lucien feels more annoyed now, so he asks again but saying how about something not music related, and Nico hesitates a bit, which annoyed Lucien further. Lucien then stops walking and raises his voice at Nico, saying that Nico only liked him for his voice, and when Nico tries to deny that, Lucien wouldn't let him speak. Lucien tells him about his actions the past few times they hung out and how weird it was how he was always asked to sing something. He commented on when Nico drags him to do things it's usually what he wants to do most of the time, and Lucien was just going along with it until now. Lucien says maybe Nico didn't really like him at all, and saying this hurt himself and his feelings, especially since he ended up liking Nico. He tells Nico his feelings; he says that he really liked him a lot, but if Nico never felt the same way then they shouldn't meet up anymore, not for a long while. Nico tries to interject but he never had a chance to. Lucien turned around and started walking back really fast and when Nico tried to talk to him Lucien turned around and yelled that he wouldn't sing ever again, before running out of the park. Nico could only stare back at him feeling regret and feeling like he had said something wrong.

Since this was Lucien's first time falling in love with someone and acknowledging those feelings, the thought that it might have not been mutual really bummed him out. He took a couple days off work and stayed holed up in his room feeling down. Petras was starting to get worried after a couple days since he want used to seeing his step brother so sad. He told Lucien to open the door and talk to him or else he won't go to classes until he does. Lucien values education so he didn't want Petras to miss class but at the same time it felt really pathetic at the same time but eventually he opened the door and flopped onto Petras’s arms and told him everything. Petras felt mad that his step bro had to go through this and he tells Lucien to try to move on but Lucien says it's really hard to do so.

At the same time, Nico stays in his home too, thinking about what he said. He wished he had spoken faster so he could clear up that misunderstanding. He only hesitated because he was thinking about the right words to say, but he wasn't sure Lucien wound believe him if he said that. He tried to get in contact with him by calling and sending texts but he kept getting ignored. He knew when it comes to himself, he want the best at expressing his feelings.

One day, Nico decided to go lurking in the concert hall so he snuck in backstage as usual but instead of Vincent he saw Sigmund and Lucien sitting on a couple of chairs. He quickly hid himself among the items and peeked through. He couldn't hear anything but he saw they were talking. However he doesn't have a good view of this either since Lucien's back was to him. Suddenly he thought he saw Sigmund put his hand up to Lucien's face and bring his head closer to him… and at this angle it looked as if they were kissing. Then Lucien hugged Sigmund and Sigmund accepted it, and was stroking Lucien's hair. Nico stared at this in shock, thinking that Lucien had moved on and was probably with Sigmund now. Feeling jealous and sad, Nico got up and left the room, not caring if he was seen. He went all the way home and fell on his bed. Despite what he thought and what he saw, he didn't want to give up on Lucien. But he had to show his feelings somehow to show Lucien how he felt, and not through words since that would backfire on him.

Then one morning he got an idea; it could be the only way he can express himself and tell Lucien how he really feels. For the next few weeks Nico kept himself in front of his piano, composing a series of original works about his relationship with Lucien from the beginning. He didn't go outside for anything, not even to see Vincent's concerts during this time. He kept his focus and determination on the task at hand, stopping only to eat and falling asleep. When he was done, he had a concerts worth of pieces. During this time he got in touch with the people in charge of the concert hall and requested/begged to hold his one man concert there, and showing the many preparations he has done so far. Eventually he got an approval and soon the concert was on.

Petras noticed the flyer for Nico’s concert and he showed it to Lucien. Lucien was surprised Nico was holding a concert. Petras said he didn't have to go if he didn't want to, but Lucien was a little curious about it. Later he went to see Sigmund again and showed him the flyer, and Sigmund said he should go see it. It might be a good way to see Nico again and try to talk to him. Lucien agreed and Sigmund offered to go with him as a support. So Lucien and Sigmund went to Nico’s concert.

Lucien and Sigmund sat near the front in the middle section to get the best view of Nico. Nico walks up on stage and Lucien stares at him looking more dressed up and usual, and he also noticed the unusually serious look on his face as well. When the concert began, Lucien stayed attentive the whole time, watching him play and listening to the music. It started off with an awkward series of notes, then with a more melodic sound that seemed to become more intense with each minute. The sound varied in pitches and speeds and notes. Lucien saw Nico’s expressions change with his music and he enjoyed how engrossed he was. Then the music had an uncomfortable vibe to it, and became frantic. Then it became slower and more solemn. Lucien had a feeling the theme Nico was going for seemed familiar. The next piece sounded a mix of sad and accepting, and then the last piece was to be played. Nico took a brief pause before he played it, taking in a deep breath. Once he started playing, Lucien noticed it sounded very familiar, and it was; it was one of Nico’s experimental pieces he played for Lucien and he made up a few lyrics to. Lucien was surprised, but that didn't stop there, and this extended to the rest of the audience as well, when Nico started singing those same lyrics. He wasn't as good as Lucien but he was decent enough to sound good. It wasn't sung in an operatic way but it still sounded good. Lucien listened to every word, and to the new words Nico added, and he finally understood the point of Nico’s concert. He put both of his hands up to his face and cried. Sigmund asked if he were okay, and Lucien nodded, saying he was very much okay. Once Nico finished, he stood up and bowed to the crowd, and the audience slowly started to give applause. Some people even stood up and clapped, and Lucien did so too, clapping very loudly. Nico walks off stage and the audience begins to leave. Lucien left the auditorium before anyone else because he wanted- no, needed to see Nico as soon as possible.

He made his way towards the back rooms and went towards Nico’s room, but he was stopped by security guards that were there, saying this was an area for authorized people only. Lucien pleaded them to let him pass but they wouldn’t comply, so Lucien called out Nicos name really loudly in hopes he would be heard, and to his delight Nico’s door opened and Nico saw him. He told the guards to let him go and they did and Lucien ran over to him. Nico invited him into the room and closed the door. Lucien hugged Nico really tight, saying he really loved his performance and he was glad he decided to go and watch. He felt his emotions and feelings through his music and he finally understood how he felt. He also apologized about the earlier misunderstanding and he said he should have listened to him but he felt so mad that night that he couldn't help it, but he knows he was wrong and he feels really bad. Nico smiles but looked a little sad as he did, saying he's really glad his message got across to him but he thinks he was too late. Lucien looks up at him and questions why. Nico said he thought Lucien had moved on and was probably dating Sigmund now. Lucien asked, why would he think so??? And Nico explains what he saw that day in the concert hall, about that supposed kiss. Lucien thinks about that day and then realized what he was talking about. He laughs, telling Nico that was no kiss, he went to Sigmund to get consoled; that “kiss” was just Sigmund wiping Lucien's tears off his face, and that hug was a hug of thanks since Sigmund was giving advice. Lucien says he was crying about Nico to Sigmund and wanted to know what to do. When Nico heard this, he was a little surprised, and felt embarrassed all of a sudden about this new misunderstanding. Lucien laughs and rests his head upon Nico’s shoulder, saying that he really missed him so much. Nico said he did too, and he's sorry he doesn't know how to express himself with his words and stuff, and Lucien accepts it. They stare into each other's eyes for a few seconds, then Nico caresses Lucien's cheek, asking if he still likes him. Lucien smiled and whispered to him, “Nico, I love you.”, then leans forward to kiss him. Nico hugged Lucien tighter and deepened the kiss, wanting to savor this moment for as long as he could. ♡

WIP

As lovers they're pretty much the same as before but waaaay more intimate ;D They have a very enjoyable lovers life with each other as they explore new things and places together and make out a ton both in public and in private (moreso the latter ofc). Lucien breaks out of his shell a little more each day, and he's enjoying the fun he has with the energetic older man. Nico discovers very romantic sides of himself he never knew he had, and he loves expressing it for Lucien more and more. Both love being in bed together, whether it's just cuddling or any act of intimacy.

Their first time was right after they confessed their love for each other; they pretty much had liked each other for a while and they might have gotten hints about it from each other. Anyway after what happens in "How they get Together", they continued kissing in the room against the door, their actions becoming more heated with every passing minute. When their lips parted to take in air, Lucien leaned up against Nico and hugged him tight, resting his head upon his shoulder. Nico guided Lucien to the sofa behind them and they sat down, mostly on one end of it and they sat very close to each other. They turned their heads to glance at each other again while smiling shyly, and then Nico lifted up Lucien's head once more and kissed him. Lucien shifts his body towards Nico and wraps his arms around him once more, and then they both fall onto the couch, Nico on top of Lucien. Nico's lips trail from Lucien's own down towards Lucien's cheek, then jaw, then his neck, coming close to his collarbone. Lucien's breathing picked up and soft moaning sounds were coming out of him. His grip on Nico tightened as Nico kissed and teased him more.

Nico suddenly lifted his head up to look at Lucien, who was a blushing hot mess, and he couldn't help but chuckle, showing off a grin. Lucien's eyes darted back and forth between Nico's face and off to the side as he slipped his arms off of him and started to fumble around with the buttons near the top of his shirt, trying to get them open. He felt very warm all of a sudden; it could be how heated Nico was making him feel, a feeling he hasn't experienced before but was feeling it now with such force. Suddenly Nico seemed to cme to his senses and realize where they were, and sat up very abruptly before getting up from the sofa. He grabbed hold of Lucien's arms and started to drag him towards the door. The two left the room and found a way to sneak out of the concert hall building and towards Nico's car, where his chauffeur was waiting. Since it was all happening so fast for Lucien, he asked what was going on, and Nico replied whisherping into his ear, saying they're going back to his own place, of course~

Lucien couldn't help but blush a bright red, and Nico laughed seeing it happen, and he wrapped his arm around Lucien to pull him close. He kissed the top of his head and whisprered someting into his hair along the lines of "don't worry, I'll be gentle~", which made Lucien blush harder and he had to hide his face with his hands. Despite all that though, Lucien was smiling, overwhelmed with so many emotions at once.

Once they reached Nico's place, they went inside and Nico ordered his servants not to disturb him for the rest of the night and morning, and to not go near the corridor where his room was. He pulled Lucien up the stairs and to his bedrrom. Lucien was amazed at how big Nico's bed was, and when he sat down on it, how soft it was. He lay down upon it and Nico did too, hovering just above him. He lowered his haed slowly, until once again they kissed, thhis time, full of a passion that was different than in the concert hall room. Maybe it was because they're in a bedroom now, where the atmosphere was sure to feel more intimate, or it was possible to feel more conscious on how excited they each were getting.
