LYZE
reckless • vain • flirtatious
Brash, confident, and obnoxious, Lyze likes to be the center of attention and she’s almost always sure of herself, even when she probably shouldn’t be. While she doesn’t actually think she’s perfect, she takes her mistakes in stride and moves on quickly. She has a temper, and is usually quick to a fight, but she’s very unlikely to hold grudges; she likes to forgive-and-forget. She looks out for her own interests, but she isn’t heartless. She doesn’t only have her own needs in mind, and she does try to do what’s best for her clan, as well as her family and friends. She is incredibly free-spirited, and isn’t exactly one for strict rules and guidelines. She likes parties and rambunctiousness, and tends to go with the flow more often that not.
She's an average-sized krogan, with reddish brown skin and darker spots. Her head crest is bright pink, and she wears modified Blood Pack armor. Her crest is pierced, usually with two gold rings.
She’s also a huge flirt. As a fertile female krogan, but also a very open lesbian, she sometimes struggles with duty versus her own emotional health and desires…
Strengths: Confident, physically fit, loud enough to keep other krogan in-line. Good with shotguns, and has some biotic ability.
Weaknesses: Recklessness, over-confidence. Very little experience with the world, with Tuchanka, etc. Vanity and impulsiveness get her into trouble frequently.
Lyze was born to the small krogan clan Khel to the nationalistic krogan Khel Raigh. Raigh was determined that Lyze would be her legacy, and raised her with simply that in mind; Lyze would be the strongest, she would be the best, she would bring them glory.
And Lyze delivered; she didn’t take shit, not from the few other krogan children, not from strangers, not even from the adult krogans from Khel; only her mother. She did obey her mother, but not without following her own desires.
Due to her upbringing, she continued to fight and instigate and generally be obnoxious, though she wasn’t one to hold grudges or to stay mad for long. Although she enjoyed fighting and was certainly aggressive, she wasn’t particularly mean-spirited, and she never quite grasped the anger and menace in which her mother viewed the Council races.
In fact, she herself was always fascinated with aliens, and the Citadel… she’d always wanted to see it.
With Lyze’s help, Raigh was able to fight and talk her way up the Khel social ladder, and with a change in the male Khel clan leader, Raigh took over as the chieftess of the female clan, ousting the previous leader.
However, after some years of Raigh’s control, due to circumstances mostly outside of Lyze’s control, Raigh was challenged. Lyze, having (very, very slowly) begun to doubt her mother’s tactics, didn’t help her in the fight, finally coming to terms with her own doubts- with some help from the experiences of the brother that she never knew she had. She took over as the leader of Khel, despite being young and incredibly inexperienced. Without really asking, the old krogan Khel Ahnra became her adviser.
