THE RED GUARD

Raymond was initially created as a security A.I. and belonged to the Red Guard, which acts as Colony 69's military police. He always carried out the commands that he received without even wasting a single thought as to the consequences they could bring about. Over time however Raymond started developing an intensifying friendship with a young recruit names Dex, who didn't have any friends among the other soldiers. Despite this Raymond took special note of him due to his unusually slight appearance.

ESCAPE

It was prohibited for soldiers of the Red Guard to maintain interpersonal relationships of any kind to any of the artificial intelligence android within the unit, which is why the two of them had to keep their friendship a secret. Some time after the two started getting to know each other, Raymond received the command to send a sentenced prisoned into exile by throwing him out into the icy tundra of planet Eon - an almost immediate death sentence considering the more than sub zero temperatures. Before he could carry out the command however, Raymond was stopped by Dex, who showed him the prisoners file. He almost couldn't believe his eyes when he saw that the sentenced man was actually innocent. Dex convinced Raymond to help him save the man from certain death and after the A.I. agreed the two almost immediately into acton. Their rescue operation went entirely smooth - until the prisoner in between them suddenly toppled over, hit by a bullet that had been shot by the commander of the Red Guard, Arkenathan. Raymond and Dex barely escaped with their lives.

THE RESISTANCE

Dex helps Raymond to remove the chip in his neck which had previously connected him with the colony's network of artificial intelligence androids. Suddenly his mind - previously filled entirely with the thoughts and voices of those much alike him - was eerily silent. The two of them agreed that they couldn't let things in the colony go on as they were, and together they founded organisation which could be safe haven for all of those that would receive a certain death sentence in the colonies, and a beacon of hope for those who don't have a choice but to play along. An organisation that would fight against the corrupt leaders of the colony and strive to free those that were unjustly sentenced and killed by any means necessary. Colony 69 calls them terrorists. They call themselves the Resistance.

A few years later Dex was killed on one of their highly dangerous missions for the Resistance. While Raymond desperately tried to stop the bleeding, his friend still died in his arms before they even managed to reach the hideout. The A.I. was absolutely crushed, experiencing a feeling of loss incomparable to anything he'd ever felt before - a feeling he quickly recognised as a weakness, opting to instead keep a cold, straight mind on the just cause his friend would have wanted him to realise.
