Ahri Manyu (アリ・マンユ Ari Manyu) is a powerful and old daeva that dwells deep within the underground moutain area in the Palace of the Daevas. He's also the main antagonist of Fallen Enchantment and caused the daeva summoning incident.

Concept

Ahri is based off of Angra Mainyu (also known as Ahriman), an evil spirit/god in Zoroastrianism responsible for causing chaos, destruction, and evil in the world.

Name

His name is basically a combination of Ahriman and Angra Mainyu, the being he is based off of.

Notable Relationships

Aka Mana

His little brother and one of the most powerful daevas that was sealed within the Avesta book. Wanting to free him from his prison, Ahri sought out a magician that would be powerful enough to open the book and become Mana's new host.

Zol Magus

Ahri preyed upon Zol's doubts and desires over self-validation, manipulating him into taking control of and releasing his brother Aka Mana from the Avesta book.

Official Profile

An ancient daeva, born from the evil and destructive spirit of man. He is one of the most well known of all daevas, being the one who created all of them to unleash upon the world and cause nothing but chaos.

In legend, he was the god who opposed Ohri Mazda, an ahura god born of goodness and light, and did battle with him for countless years. Their battlefield was the world itself, forced into the cross-fire of two gods who brought both light and darkness upon them in their wake with their armies of daevas and ahuras behind them.

Their battle almost seemed to never end, as both were evenly matched, until the arrival of a mysterious savior. A nameless and miraculous magician came forth wielding a book called Avesta, and after reading aloud a few words from it, managed to put a stop to Ahri by capturing and sealing away all of his forces, including his brother, leading to him being overwhelmed by Ohri and soundly defeated.

Since then, it's said that Ahri is prophesied to get revenge and cause another world-devastating battle when his brother is "reborn" by "man's darkness". As a countermeasure against this, the nameless magician placed a seal upon Avesta, preventing anyone but a magician of their caliber from ever opening it and freeing the evil spirits. Even when this magician passed on and their book was eventually found and possessed by Ahri, this seal remained on it. Thus, Ahri searched the world for a worthy (and gullible) enough magician that could wield Avesta and free the other daevas.

But in a world where magic and people are ever changing, such a unique magician's existence was slowly becoming more and more rare. And Ahri could make no compromises with the lesser ones who'd botch-up his plans. But eventually, after many, many long years, he would find the one that would bring about the prophesy Ahri desired: Zol Magus, a young magician said to have been taught by a simurgh and possessed incredible potential.

The perfect vessel for Mana's return and herald of the daevas.
