Alana Kolbi Ritroso's Links
From the day they first met, they've been close. She's practically family now, though Alana won't hesitate to admit she had a *teeny* crush on Maddi for awhile. Alana's been helping Maddi make new friends, and Maddi's been teaching her how to stand up for herself. And how to throw a punch, too!
Alana was one of the first few people to show her genuine kindness, and now they're best friends--practically sisters, in a sense. She helps keep her grounded, and with her, Maddi's slowly learning that she can open up a bit and not wall herself off all the time.
She was intimidated by him at first, not gonna lie, but then she realized he's really just a huge DORK. She can't quite pinpoint when she started crushing on him, though her friends SWEAR it was the moment they first spoke to each other. Whenever it was, feelings between both of them bloomed like a bed of roses, and before too long they were officially dating!
He teaches her about her powers, how to fight and defend herself. She's showing him it's okay to speak up, be open, and blossom into something greater than he can ever imagine.
Sure, he's got a chill around him. All the more excuse to cuddle under the blankets together!
He felt something in his chest the moment she smiled at him. He didn't know what it was then, and it took him over a YEAR to know it's true identity--a crush. It took him another few months to finally work up the courage and ask her about it.
Even from when they first met, they were close. A unit, practically. They meshed well on the battle field, and he always felt he could be... open, around her. His father had always told him he could rely on no one except him, that humans were twisted, selfish creatures. Yet, one look at Alana proves all that is wrong.
He knows they're both young, and that feelings can change over time. But if you were to ask him who he could imagine spending the rest of his days with, he'd have one answer, and he'd give it in a heartbeat.
He loves this girl like life itself.
They've been best friends since Kindergarten!
She wishes she could do more to help him, but he swears up and down that having her as a friend is more than enough. But still... she worries, you know?
He's never had an easy time making friends, he's always been somewhat of an outcast, and those facts have only been becoming more and more apparent as time passes. His friendship with Alana? He treasures it IMMENSELY. He feels he can tell her anything, but... he'd hate to make her worry about him.
They USED to be friends, they'd been friends since Kindergarten. But something... changed, when he started crushing on her, ESPECIALLY after Maddi moved into her house for awhile. He became more antagonistic to their friends, more demeaning to her. By the time he confessed her crush on her, she wasn't sure if she could even call themselves BUDDIES.
Will's not taking no for an answer, and it's getting worse--now he's directing his ire on the whole city, and she can't help but feel guilty. And yet... Will's become such a disgusting person, she could never even FORCE herself to agree to his demands.
She will be his queen, one way or another. Even if she needs some... convincing.
They've been friends for as long as she can remember. They did grow up in the same neighborhood, after all, just a corner away from each other! She's always thought Brian was cool--a giant nerd, but really cool! Not just anyone can make working robots, after all!
She feels guilty, though. A tiny part of her resents Brian. After all, if she and Brian had never met, her parents wouldn't constantly compare them. And her mom always seemed to belittle what she did, saying Brian was so much smarter and better than her. She just can't measure up.
He swears, one of his first memories is riding tricycles with Alana around the cul de sac. They're the poster children for 'childhood friends,' and he knows they both value that. Alana's pretty great! She's so nice to everyone, and she helps him see the better in people.
Maybe that's because SHE's better. His mom's always saying he should get out more, like Alana does. Make more friends, like Alana does. Stop spending so much time holed up in his room, like Alana does...
Is it weird to be sorta-besties with your boyfriend's best friend from his traumatic childhood? Either way, Alana's life was far from normal, so she's taking it in stride! Whenever he had questions about how things in the human realm worked, she gave her best answers, introduced him to her other friends, and anything else she could do to help. She was worried Taru found her annoying, since he's not too much of a conversationalist, but all worries were pushed aside when she heard him purring as she showed him around her garden. Now they'll listen to music, share snacks, and chat while he teaches her about hair care and does her braids. She's also learning boy band choreography because of him, but hey--it's loads of fun!
It's always nice to have a friendly face, especially when he's moving realms and unfamiliar with the... well... EVERYTHING. Alana was quick to help him get adjusted to the Middle Realm, and before long they were exchanging music recs, teaching each other recipes, and talking the night away. He's always down to be a listening ear as she rants about bullies and restrictive parents, and he's grown a deeper appreciation for nature after listening to her lectures on local wildflowers and insects.
Take down the healer, the rest of the team crumbles. But she doesn't make herself an easy target. Fine by him--a quick take down may be satisfying, but a good fight's far more fun.
Some nights, he has dreams, where he's trying to make someone who looks like her laugh. What... is this about...?
Hanging out with Alana's always a fun time! They've been buddies since around third grade or so? She's a bit quiet, but once you get her going, she gets going! They've got a few jokes with each other, and getting Alana smiling almost ALWAYS gets everyone else smiling too! Score!
