Personality

Song is a virtuous being--kind, valiant, protective, and just. There is an aggressive streak in their personality, but this is necessary for their work in defending innocent souls from evil, and only reveals itself when absolutely necessary. The rest of the time, Song tends to be shy and retiring, although they welcome the company of the select few who they consider to be friends. For those who are pure of heart, Song makes for a comforting and powerful ally. Theme song: Tony Bennett--Stranger in Paradise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzA8gwfJr9I

History

Song was created by the powers that be eons ago in order to serve the divine purpose of defending innocent souls. They have stuck diligently to this task, with much success, and thus enjoy a great deal of respect and affection from others in the afterlife. Currently, Song is on a mission to protect a well-meaning mortal who has accidentally summoned a family of demons. Song feels invigorated by this challenge, and is very happy to have a chance to provide aid.

Bart

Bart is a medium hired by Candy in an attempt to help rid herself of the demons currently stalking her, and thus he and Song are meant to be colleagues of a sort. However, Bart is not nearly as pure as he makes himself out to be--he is calculating, amoral, and seriously considering ditching Candy and her friends in favor of allying with the demons. Song can sense Bart's true intentions, and thus is deeply suspicious of him, but holds out hope that Bart may yet be redeemable. Bart has an inkling that Song is on to him--he is therefore polite to Song, but also quite frightened of them.

Bosch

Bosch is the patriarch of the demon family who is currently tormenting Candy and who Song has recently set themself against. He is glib, and claims to be willing to bargain with Song in order to maintain peace between Heaven and Hell, but make no mistake--Bosch is vicious and heartless at his core. Song has no patience for Bosch's attempts at politics, and has made their intention to return him to Hell very clear. Bosch thus feels threatened by Song, and his fear will likely make him even more dangerous...

Candy

Candy is a young woman who befriended Song's colleague Roslyn through the use of a Ouija board, and thus Roslyn introduced her and Song. Candy is currently in quite a bit of trouble--she has accidentally summoned a family of demons, who are now attempting to corrupt her soul--and so Roslyn called upon Song to help Candy escape these evil forces. Candy is a bit naive, but sweet, gregarious, and well-meaning. Song recognizes that she is a righteous soul, and is thus currently doing all in their power to protect her.

Christopher

Christopher is Song's charge Candy's younger half-brother, and she introduced him to Song. Song has quickly become fond of Christopher--they recognize his bravery and pure heart. Christopher is in awe of Song, and is very much grateful for their help. He feels fortunate to have obtained them as an ally.

Charlene

Candy accidentally summoned Charlene, who is a demon, as part of a love spell gone wrong, and thus she is one of the beings whom Song is currently attempting to dispatch. Charlene comes across as sugary sweet, and is thus adept at luring mortals into her destructive clutches. However, her charms are powerless on Song, who is wholly unimpressed by her. Charlene therefore fears Song, and does her best to avoid them.

Eugenie

Eugenie is another of the demons accidentally summoned by Candy--she is the clan's matriarch. She is arguably the most aggressive and vitriolic of the threatening forces currently stalking Candy, and she has made no pretenses regarding her goal to destroy Candy and anyone attempting to help her. Song finds Eugenie to be odious, and looks forward to the day when they will return her to Hell. Eugenie currently enjoys mocking Song, but it would do her well to recognize and respect their power...

Hylton

Candy also accidentally summoned Hylton, a member of the demon family that is currently attempting to sink its clutches into her. However, Hylton has no interest in harming Candy or her friends--he is actually a rather laid-back and jovial soul. Hylton recognizes Song's power and divine nature, and is thus terrified of them. However, Song sees a hint of promise in Hylton--they think that he may be a little bad, but also think that perhaps he is not evil beyond saving...

Annabelle

Song helped Annabelle to escape from her demonic family when she called upon the forces of the angels to help her, and thus the two became friends. Currently, Annabelle and Song are united in their quest to save their friend Candy from Annabelle's family. Annabelle views Song with tremendous respect and gratitude. Song, in turn, is highly protective of Annabelle--he does not wish to see her return to the side of wickedness.

Roslyn

Roslyn and Song met ages ago--Roslyn was originally a mortal, and when she discorporated, it was Song who ushered her into the afterlife. The two have remained in contact ever since, recently deepening their friendship when Roslyn requested Song's help on behalf of a demon-plagued mortal friend of hers. Roslyn is hard-working, brave, and has a good sense of humor, all traits that endear her to Song. In turn, Roslyn regards Song as being like the sibling she never had, and trusts them completely.
