Personality.
Amaryllis is a light-hearted individual with a chill demeanor. In social settings, people gravitate to her for her cool, nonchalant air. However, whenever she finds the desire to she can be the life of the party or even a bit of a prankster, especially when Orion is around to enable such behavior.
Contrary to this easygoing persona, Amaryllis is a dedicated worker. Despite skepticism from those unfamiliar with fae, ever since meeting the light fae, she has worked incredibly hard to master and control the magic they have gifted her. She is diligent in her craft of magic and also her craft in creative design. Most of her wardrobe, the things she owns, and the gifts she gives are things she has made herself.

Before the events of Eclipse, Amaryllis lived a fairly normal life in the public eye but a more lively one in secret. He’d often shirk his responsibilities of helping his fathers with the archive and travel to the light fae domain to practice his magic and learn more about their kinds of potions. Most townsfolk don’t believe in the fae, so he’s often misconstrued as having his head in the clouds…

He rides on the thought that life shouldn’t be taken too seriously. There’s so much beauty in the world, in all of the little things, and he likes to direct his focus on highlighting that hidden beauty in his DIY creations and magic work.

Amaryllis was born to two fathers, name and name. They are both kind, a bit silly, and are generally very supportive of Amaryllis and her endeavors. However, they can be a bit obtuse when it comes to her feelings about taking over the town’s archive, unintendedly taking on a bit of an overwhelming presence. Aside from family, Amaryllis grew up with her childhood best friend and first love, Naomi Moon. They would often frequent the river by her house and play pretend. Their relationship is strong to this day, but Amaryllis finds herself running away from her feelings for Naomi out of fear of ruining their friendship…

She unfortunately shies away from responsibility often. The idea of being in a prominent role, being the leader of something, overwhelms her, so she tends to run away from it. This all probably stems from her fathers raising her to inherit and take over the town’s archive. It’s a big deal, and she doesn’t think she can handle it.

Amaryllis and Orion are alike in many ways when it comes to their extroversion; they both like engaging with people to have a good time. However, Amaryllis is way more normal. She just wants to hang out and goof off with others, chat about drama, etc. She’s always willing to make a new friend, and those in her inner circle know they have a friend for life.

History.
Amaryllis lived a fairly normal life—growing up ambitious with a taste for more. One day on his usual excursion to the forest for DIY materials, he came across the secluded world of the Fae. They took a liking to him and would spend the rest of his growing years teaching him their ways of magic. Ever since that chance encounter, he would visit them daily to learn their ways of magic.
Due to a lack of innate ability, the Fae decided to grant her a magical staff, teaching her how to conjure magic through potions and the staff’s aether. Despite her new skills, few of the townspeople believed the source of them, for the Fae are almost mythological in nature due to how reserved they are from the rest of the world. The only one who believed her was her childhood friend and crush, Naomi, and so she continued to train in secret until she met others of her caliber: Orion and Payne.
Her fathers uphold Rivenview’s archive, vital to the town’s history, resources, and memories. The older they grow the more they try to pass on the family job to her. Amaryllis isn’t ready for that type of responsibility yet, so when Orion and Payne ask for help in their endeavors she leaps at the chance to join them and evade giving her fathers a solid answer…

Abilities.
Although not innate, he is able to channel magic of the light fae through the staff bestowed upon him. It was weaved in such a formation with fibers native to the forest in which the light fae reside, and inscribed with carvings able to strengthen their magic. It’s more of a defensive and transportation type of magic, but it can be used offensively too.
Learning how to concoct these potions also came from careful teachings from the light fae; however, no magic is required for these potions to work. Although, they do make for some interesting effects if combined appropriately.
Since her fathers own the town’s archive, she is well endowed with the knowledge of everything that's happening in the population’s lives and its history.
