Clarissa fled The City’s bustling streets to Apricot Bay, hoping to find some reprieve from the noise and the smells and the people. As much as she tries to avoid it, though, the natives will stop her on the street and will passionately discuss the weather with her.

By night, Clarissa pours herself into experimental electronic music with an energy she can’t express outside of the walls of her apartment. If she could have it her way, she’d burrow into a nest of blankets with her keyboard and never come out again.

It’s not that she dislikes people; she’s just more scared of you than you are of her. Working her part-time job at the movie rental store is all the social interaction she can handle—although she’s recently taken to sitting in a corner of the local bakery and enjoying the quiet before the town starts waking up.
