Profile
Riko Hamano, better known as Erika Aspen, is well-known as the skycore movement's pioneer. Described as a combination of chill trap, DnB, and nu-disco, his works have spawned countless imitations, though his own songs have remained a standout in the genre. Despite his formidable discography, Erika's online presence remains extremely low-key; he strictly does not communicate with fans and uses social media only for promotional purposes. Which isn't to say that he ignores his (rather large) fanbase entirely: after receiving demand from fans to branch out into different genres, his most recent EP consisted of wildly different tracks pulling inspiration from all over the history of EDM, but each still unmistakably his own.
First off, Erika Aspen is a pseudonym. Second off, the mask hides nothing cool. Erika’s entire image rests upon doing things that he thinks is cool, regardless of whether or not he truly believes in them. Both in and out of his talent’s application, he prioritizes his own safety. To this end, he follows trends and stays as agreeable and nonthreatening as he possibly can… even though he has no hesitation about throwing people under the bus if it’ll save him.
Erika uses primarily he/him pronouns and sometimes they/them, and rarely she/her. He also uses it/its pronouns somewhat frequently, which is not something I plan on explicitly stating in the story because I really don’t want people to be weird about uncommon pronouns. Feel free to use them respectfully, though!
