Alexei Ilyich Bazhanov

Whatever Alexei Ilyich Bazhanov did to become a birdwatcher recognized by Hope’s Peak is frankly beyond any of us, given that he has contributed absolutely nothing to the field of ornithology. It'd be more apt to call him a viral sensation or something of the sort, because he's mostly just known for standing around and doing completely inexplicable things while looking like that. When not in class, he can often be found standing on streetlamps, covered in pigeons, and creating a veritable army of crows. There's a lot of things that 'birdwatching' can cover as a talent, and most of the things Alexei does aren't even slightly in that ballpark.

To most people, Alexei is strange and just a little off-kilter in the way that he acts very politely, and then proceeds to do some of the dumbest things possible to get away from people. For most people, he'd prefer that this remains their impression of him. While Alexei does enjoy being “weird” and confusing people, he mostly enjoys having control over how they perceive him - the idea of people knowing any of his true emotions or thoughts on a topic when he doesn’t want them to is frankly terrifying. He’d rather be misinterpreted than correctly interpreted by the wrong people, so as far as he’s concerned, 99.9% of people should only know him for T-posing with a flock of pigeons on his arms.
