Personality
Tyrian is one of the most laid back folks you’ll ever meet. He’s a very “go with the flow” kind of guy who adapts well to all sorts of change. It’s not a huge deal to him after all, just a fact of life. Tyrian is also the guy to go to if you need help dealing with the changes around yourself. He loves to help others with change.
It’s not uncommon to find Tyrian deep in thought. He might be weighing a fish or writing a dissertation when, all of the sudden, he spouts out something that leaves you reeling for the next week or so. He’s extremely philosophical and enjoys thinking about the deeper things in life. He likes knowing things.
Tyrian is one of the most gentle people you’ll ever meet, both socially and physically. He never wants to hurt people, and as such goes out of his way to avoid deliberate harm. Tyrian is also extremely good at deescalation. When situations get heated, he’s the guy you go to so that everyone can calm down.
Although Tyrian is a very go with the flow kinda guy, he doesn't really like being told what to do. Aside from a very loose guideline, he likes to forge his own path. It bothers him when he gets bossed around - its one of the few things that can actually tick him off. He's not pleasant when he gets bossed around.
In the very rare instance that Tyrian becomes upset, he isn't very pleasant. He becomes extremely chilly, trading few words with others and speaking with coldness in his tone. It's a shock to most when he does become upset as he usually deals with his actual emotions far away from others.

- Tyrian tends to dress in T-shirt and jeans, although when he’s being extra chill he will sometimes wear hawaiian shirts.

- Tyrian often goes on short voyages to study the strange creatures found in the Golden Isles’ oceans.
- The shark tooth necklace Tyrian always wears came from Cyrel, a close friend of his. It was a parting gift for when Tyrian went off to college.
- Tyrian keeps goldfish in a pond in his backyard. They’re his pride and joy.
- Tyrian does occasionally smoke weed. He doesn’t show up to work stoned, though, he’s too responsible for that.
History
Tyrian was born in an Outlands farming outpost where people worked together to grow their own food away from all the corporate crap. Life was tough, sure, but he loved it. People working together, huge community, everything wonderful.
From a young age, Tyrian was fascinated by the oceans. It was all he could talk about. So, his community saved up to send him off to college in The City. There, while studying Marine Biology, he discovered just how unjust things were. He became an activist and a scientist.
Being Christine’s secretary was not as easy as it looked on the outside however. Rhodonite nearly had many nervous breakdowns over her first couple of weeks - not because of the job but because of how terrible Christine was. However, Rhodonite made quick friends with Elizabeth, Christine’s senior secretary. Elizabeth seemed nervous almost all the time, but was able to teach Rhodonite many tips and tricks on how to survive. Sure, there was something Rhodonite didn’t know about Circle Crops, but that was okay, right?
Tyrian spent most of his college years protesting and working to help others. During this time, he found himself an adoptive little brother Rai. Rai was just coming into his masculinity and looked up to Tyrian, so of course Tyrian adopted him and taught him everything about being a genuinely cool dude.
After college, Tyrian moved back to The Outlands to study the strange creatures in the oceans. He made friends with Cyprinus, discovered and freaked out over vetehi living in the not-quite-water, and kept up his activism. It's been pretty solid going for him.

Rai is genuinely one of the coolest dudes Tyrian has ever met. He's passionate, unafraid to express himself, and full of love. Tyrian is proud to call him a little brother. Sure, they rib each other sometimes. What sibling duo doesn't? However, they know what lines not to cross and always make sure it's in good fun.
Cyrel was Tyrian's absolute BFF growing up, and even know the two of them are still close. Cyrel was the one who gave Tyrian his super precious shark tooth necklace after all. Nowadays, the pair are pen pals and don't see each other in person due to the nature of their respective jobs, but that's okay.
Tyrian can't help but look up to Cyprinus. While he's comfortable with his own accomplishments, she does everything he does but more. He's doing his best to become close to her, even if she's also friends with the monster, Racsaue. She seems to enjoy his company for the most part.
Racsaue eats people. Racsaue likes to threaten Tyrian for fun. Racsaue is the only creature to make Tyrian truly, genuinely afraid. Frankly, Tyrian doesn't know why they haven't eaten him yet. Why has he been spared? Tyrian doesn't know and doesn't want to jinx it by finding out.
Tyrian is super duper glad that Hibiscus is super reclusive because he doesn't think he could deal with two giant sea monsters. He's only seen them once, and he's pretty sure the only reason they didn't eat him is because Racsaue stopped them. Yay?
