A collection of related incidents that take place after Turn, hellhound, turn, around 67 years ago in a distant valley that once served as a home to the Andraste family.
Aristedes is left astray with his family's fate remaining unknown, but he is not alone. Mordreaux, a strange knight untouched by time, is there to advise the confused seer, and much more.

After receiving an alarming message, Aristedes and Hvass set out for Namarast together with Cyrille Andraste. On their way there though, the three come across something unexpected in the outskirts of Mead.

Takes place around the time of the Grand Tourney, summer 1235. Cyrille helps arrange a secret visit between his estranged uncle Aristedes and his equally distant great-aunt, Carys Andraste. Everything is going as well as anyone could hope, until a grim revelation unexpectedly breaks the sense of hopelessness the whole family had lulled themself into for years.

Set in the past. With Aristedes' work as the protector of the valley a thing of the past now, the two leave the familiar lands in a search of new purpose. Their journey to the next town comes to a sudden halt though, as men with ill intent take note of the two travelers.

Takes place three days after Receive what cheer you may. Mordreaux pays a visit to Ari and Hvass to acquire his much needed prophecy, but it is hardly the end of Mord's need of the two like they hoped it to be.

Aristedes has come to the Mar together with his servant to meet with Sangre Mar's defacto leader, Enn, to discuss plans that might just benefit them both, and the factions they've allied themselves with. Takes place before Feast of Flowering, 1235.

Takes place in winter 1235. Lord Aristedes is scouring the wilderness with Hvass in hopes of finding his missing relative, Lasair Andraste. As the two mages come across nameless ruins and their sole inhabitant, it doesn't take long for tensions to rise.

Takes place six years after A riddle inside my head. Concerned for his servant's happiness, Aristedes encouraged Hvass to seek out other relations over the years. By a twist of fate, the man now finds himself betrothed to a blacksmith yet not all is well. It's in the middle of the night that Ari knocks on Hvass' door, needing to come clean about his true feelings.

Around 40 years have passed since the day Aristedes woke from his 14 year-long slumber. Decades have come and gone, ser Mordreaux long gone from the two's lives but while a lot has changed, some things remain ever the same. They don't have to, though, as Ari and Hvass both quickly find out when what started out as a joke threatens to get out of hand.
