About

'Lowly' Bookling who quite enjoys his status and the freedoms it affords. Or, rather, this lowly status once held title (and he did abide it), but as time shifted and all the humanoids that once conquered him and held him in such esteem are long, long, long gone.
Yes, in the days even further past the weak technology humanoids hold in his timeline now, he worked along emperors and empresses, doing their bidding-- and their learning-- to appease them.
For centuries, he considered this his purpose, and took to it well with his mind engaged enough, and quickly became many rulers' favorite Bookling. This is where his petname 'prized jewel' came from: in part from the look of a be-rubied beauty, and the other part in their eagerness to achieve greatness from their position.

Now that Cyrille has fully comprehended his free status, he has no desire to please anyone but himself and his own impulses and interests. Learning-- and, by proxy, reading-- is chief to these interests, naturally. This has not changed one bit... But, it should be known he is prone to a brash demeanor, and one of his favorite things that he picked up is combat, for example. His selfish desires to learn solely for himself have led him to go 'too far' on occasion (as if learning combat just to learn it alone isn't enough): he knows how to steal, cheat, gamble, etc. And all of this is in the name of his curiosity!

Underneath all the odd whims is a sweet Bookling, with ill intentions rarely being at the forefront of their mind.
With this in consideration... They can be quite a handful. In their company, it's better to follow than expect to lead, or reason when they're on the verge of learning the basics of something new and intriguing.
