Eliot Liu is the prickly First Lieutenant of Ambury, known well for his semi-successful soul alteration and subsequent betrayal of his faction. He was first inducted into Ambury at seventeen by late First Lieutenant Nox Everthrone, sparking major controversy due to the fact he was already being scouted by rival faction Ivory. All three Ivory Golden Members at his trial voted for him to join Ambury, however.
He originally held the title of Field Agent, with a Clairvoyant Affinity and the ability to see ghosts. As such, he spent just over a year exterminating phantoms and helping to solve magic-involved murders with use of his unique ability.
Upon the death of Nox Everthrone due to unofficial Faction Velnura, Eliot became obsessed with researching illegal Dark Magic— particularly Necromancy and related subjects. He was unable to perform Necromancy at full scale due to his Clairvoyant Affinity and thus attempted a Soul Alteration. He is the only known incarnate in recent history to be able to undergo an Alteration without experiencing an Instability and becoming a phantom.
Capt. Everthrone of Ambury found out about Eliot's involvement in illegal Dark magic due to his increasingly erratic behavior and unstable magic after the Alteration. Eliot then abandoned his post in Ambury, attempting to perform successful Necromancy with Velnura leader Valerie Vivify as sacrifice.
Eliot was unable to actually kill anyone, partially due to Magic Exhaustion, and partially due to guilt.
Lieutenant Liu has since been pardoned for his crimes and reinstated as an Ambury member. His Alteration was not able to be undone, and his magic is still highly unstable and at times self-destructive.

Growing up in a stifled environment, Eliot tends to swing wildly between being embarrassingly repressed and something of a loose cannon. He prioritizes order and is used to abiding by authorities, but as much as he loathes to admit it, he is driven by his emotions. He tends to forgo planning when in battle and can be very impulsive.
He has a very strong sense of justice and a tendency to heavily fixate when he focuses on things. He tries his best to be polite to strangers, but can be easily flustered. Horrible at lying. Can get irritated pretty easily.
