STORY-RELEVANT FACTS

• As her current job as a gemologist, she works alongside humans, although, there are a few other pokémon working in the lab as well. She mainly specialises in studing evolution stones and, by extension, mega stones.
• Social cues are something she always had a tough time understanding, even when she had a heartstone that can help read emotions. She does try her best to understand someone’s feelings correctly. If you tap her on her shoulder while looking down, she’ll think you want(or need) a hug and will give you a hug.
• Despite knowing the move ‘psychic’, if you asked her to get you a jar of pickles from a place you can’t reach, she’ll try to reach for it with her hands. This is because, after she had to have her heartstone removed, she had to learn how to live her life without using her powers and has gotten use to it.
• Occasionally, she teaches her friend’s son, Issac, to master his fire type moves. She constantly tells her that she isn’t an expert when it comes to fire types, but is still made to teach him.

ABILITIES/BIOLOGY

• Mystical Fire basically allows her to shoot fire out of her hands and mouth. She can manipulate the flame's temperature, having it be even hot enough to cause instant blisters. This move can also weaken the target's magical abilities.
• Dew Life enables her to heal either herself or other people, using magicial water that comes from her palms- I promise you it's not her sweat. The healing process is quite slow, so she it doesn't fully heal unless she sits there for hours, focused on it.
• Pyschic is her most versatile move. The most basic way for her to use it is to just use a strong telekinetic force to inflict damage to her tagert.
• Moonblast is her strongest move. It's just a big fucking beam of moon energy that does massive damage to whoever she's able to hit. Using this move does tire her out greatly, and can even cause her great pain, so she doesn't go all out when using it.
• With her ability, Trace, she can mirror the assisting ability of other magical beings, with a few exceptions. For example, if her opponent is physically strong, then that'll boost her physical strength(very useful for a special attacker). She can only copy one buff at a time, but can switch through others with relative stiffness.
• Due to lacking a heartstone, she can’t make a black hole, read emotions that well or see into the future. She is one of the few gardevoirs that will directly speak to humans, instead of using telepathy, because of this.
• However, she can still defy gravity and defy gravity she will.
• Her fur has a soft, almost airy feel to it. She gets really fuzzy when its winter, so much so that the scars on her body basicially appear invisible. Her ability to shed is quite weak, so she always have to shave her fur down when it's summer.

FUN FACTS

• Because she’s relatively wealthy, she has no problems spending her own money on her friends or on her daughter(both of those within reason) and would, oftentimes, insists on doing so. The gifts she can give, while strange and not completely in-tune to that person’s interests, are quite pricey and personalised.
• Her brother is more wealthly then her because she'll sometimes make impulse purchases on random items, especially if a friend or daughter asked for it a while ago and she suddenly comes across what they wanted.
• Unlike her brother, she doesn't mind it when humans ask her questions or requests that are exclusive to her species, infact, she especially loves to do little tricks for people with her pyschic powers. She does have a limit, it's much higher and looser then his, but she'd eventually say 'no' and float away.
• She eats and likes alot of human food. Her doctor advises her to not eat so much of it since her stomach isn't really built for digesting highly processed meals, but a single oran berry balances that out… atleast, to her.
• Despite this, she doesn’t let her daughter eat too much human food since she cares more about her health then her own. She lets her have a microwave burrito once in a while but mainly feeds her berries and cooked vegetarian meat since she is a mawile.
• Her hair resembling more of a mega gardevoir is totally an intentional design choice and not just me being unable to draw a gardevoir. Fun fact, she does have a gardevoirite, she just has it collecting dust in a drawer.
• Alot of the technological stuff she owns came with the house she inherited from her parents. They're all very old but are still quite useful for her work and a 'spur-of-the-moment' weapon in the case of her brick phone.
• The main kind of games she likes to play are 3d platformers, although her old-ass laptop can only run the ones with Nintendo 64-equse graphics as the newer ones lag to the point of it being unplayable.

CHILDHOOD

Gwendolyne was born in Southwest Nullax, along with her twin brother, Knightley. They both lived quite a lavish life and frequently visited their extended family, which they have a lot of. Their parents weren’t millionaires, but they had a lot of disposable income and were able to give their kids whatever they asked for. Gwendolyne, especially, was close to their parents as her brother was more independent and willing to figure things out for his own, while Gwendolyne, though very capable with doing everyday tasks, often needed some help and encouragement. Their parents were equally doting on both of them. It was just that, as a young ralts, she'd be more likely to ask for help for them and they'd rarely never say no. Gwendolyne always had a passion for music, especially with orchestras as she liked how grandiose they are. Since school for pokémon does exist in her region, she had to go there whenever her parents were at work. She mainly focused on the two subjects she cares about the most: chemistry and music. She and Knightley always had a good friendship, they also bicker and have slap fights like siblings usually do, although it was a lot more than the average pair would do.

She met her best friend when she and her brother were going out to visit a cousin of theirs who lived by The Golden Wheatfields. There, she spotted a bounsweet getting chased by a flock of tranquill through the maze of wheat. She ran to help the small pokemon by distracting them and driving them off with her rudimentary moveset. At first, the bounsweet snapped at her because she interpreted that as her seeing her as too weak to defend herself. When Gwendolyne told that she just honestly wanted to help, they slowly calmed down and apologised for getting mad at her, explaining that they wanted to prove to her mother that she was strong. Gwendolyne, trying to be uplifting, told her that she thought it was cool how she was dodging all those attacks from the birds.

ADOLESCENCE

It was around the time she evolved into a kirlia and Freya into a steenee that their friendship grew drastically. Both of them felt as if they had a lot more independence at that stage and they used it to just hang out with eachother more. This was also when Freya has generally gotten more comfortable being around Gwendolyne, often lightly goofing on her and generally showing affection towards her.

ADULTHOOD

Her start to adulthood wasn't the best, her parents had suddenly came down with a serious illness and she was struggling to get a job despite her above-average grades. Her brother was doing much better, already out of the house working as a bounty hunter in the big city.
