Eramus

Pale skin covered in heavy dark freckling, like spots of black mold on paper, Erasmus's flesh looks more fitting for a corpse than a living person. A rotted thing with white, stringy hair that goes to his chin and dark circles under his eyes. He feels cold to the touch. Falling out of reality and being torn to pieces, only to be made whole again isn't kind to a living body. He wears an almost sad expression, until someone talks to him. Erasmus often mirrors the emotions and expressions of people he’s talking to. He'll smile and laugh along with what they are saying, showing off his pallid gums and tongue, but his smile feels forced and his laughs sound almost painful.

Erasmus has a long scar that starts on his left cheek and goes across his nose bridge. As well as a scar that goes mostly around the right side of his neck, it has a small tattoo of a sword beside it. There are other several tattoos also in white ink, scattered across his body. The ones visible while he's clothed, other than the sword upon his throat, are the symbols on his hands that are now too blurred to read. While it is often covered by his gloves, he religiously wears a ring fashioned from his lover’s rib.

His journey beyond this realm has left Erasmus a changed person. Erasmus feels like he no longer really belongs in the world. Sensations are overwhelming. Just existing physically is tiring. He was flesh and blood, but now he's definably something else, a type of thing that shouldn't be real but is. Erasmus finds himself swinging from being bereft from any attachments or cares about the harm he causes to extreme empathy for those he feels are ill-fated or long suffering. Erasmus typically doesn't truly care about other people as he no longer really understands them. Forming meaningful relationships is hard for him, especially since Erasmus struggles to understand and express his emotions. Typically the people he grows close to are those he feels are similar to himself, the strange and suffering.

As much as he prefers things to people, as objects are far more straightforward than even the bluntest individual, he still doesn't wish harm upon others. Despite the life he leads often requiring it, there isn't any pleasure to the action and a faint sense of revulsion accompanies any memories of the aftermath. Erasmus thinks he doesn't want to be the way he is now, but is unsure how else he can be.

• Goes by Erasmus or Eramus depending on who he's talking to. Elves typically say Erasmus, and humans generally use Eramus.

• The tattoos on his hands are extremely faded due to constant magic use wearing down the enchanted ink that they were done with, what remains was originally part of a larger design.

• You can add to or take off most of his jewelry. The only items that have to stay are the rings on his left middle and ring finger.
• His sword spawns from his left middle finger ring. It is see-through and looks like it is made of glass. I use whatever colours it is next to as its colour.
• His ears lack movement and can't lay flat against his head. They are flopped down and to the side.
• I use a dark green or a blueish green for his blush
