Lysandar the Flayed

Lysandar's appearance is what conjures in many people's minds when they hear the word elvish. With an angular face, strangely coloured eyes, a narrow build, and long pointed ears, he is clearly an elvish man. Like many elves from Dorith, he styles his fair brown, wavy hair by pulling it back and holding it in place with a circular iron clip. Lysandar also has a preference for more traditional elvish clothes, colours, and patterns. The only thing that breaks this is the gold ring with a star motif commonly found in Gilsi that he wears at all times.

He is also a textbook example of what a vampire looks like. Lysandar is extremely pallid, any ruddiness to his face seeming closer to a bruise than blush. His nails sharpen to claws at will, and his canine teeth are prominent. Lysandar is referred to as 'the flayed' due to him bearing the partially healed wounds from having said thing done to him. His hands, feet, and head are the only parts where his skin is still fully intact. A not unheard of act for old vampires to commit, Lysandar was turned solely to be torn apart, and have his body parts be turned into magical objects. When he originally met Eramus, he was missing his left eye and hand, his right index finger, and most of his skin. Other than his skin and left pinky, they have successfully found most of his body.

Made solely to be torn apart and the nonstop fight to live after having found his freedom has left Lysandar with a firm distrust in strangers. Aloof and distrusting, he holds himself and his two friends above all others. Lysandar rarely sees a point in being friendly to others outside his group, resulting in him rarely being a pleasant experience for strangers to talk to; unless he has ulterior motives to which he'll then lay the charm on thick. To most, though, he comes off as a deeply conceited prick.

Lysandar built himself back from nothing and as a consequence is deeply vain about his accomplishments and appearance. He puts on a façade of unshakable confidence and hopes that no one dares to pry and see past his lies. Lysandar holds grudges easily and has a hard time letting slights go. To Lysandar, others rarely have good intentions towards him and that there is hardly such a thing as a slip of the tongue. When people hurt him, it is very much on purpose.

Lysandar adores his second chance life and relishes in small pleasures, especially when it pertains to the outdoors. He is more than willing to go out of his way for pretty things, and novel and new experiences. The few close connections he holds Lysandar throws himself into wholeheartedly, feeling that he needs to constantly prove his worth and affection (even if he's told otherwise).
