Atticus Estwick

An ordinary man with extraordinary vision, Atticus is just a guy with an active Bootube account and a million ideas for the camera. An avid fan of movies (in particular, action flicks), Atticus has been writing, directing, acting, filming, and editing his own shorts from his early teens.
Despite Atticus’s nerdy passions and uncompromising vision, he is  effortlessly popular and has a wide network of friends who are willing  to help him in his projects. At worst they think of his interests as a  quirky part of him; others might ask to be a part of it all. While he’s  grateful for his pals, he has no interest in being popular or a  celebrity of any kind. He’s simply engrossed in his craft and wants to  be acknowledged for it.
Though he’s quite serious about film, in  casual contexts he’s pretty easy to get along with. He tends to give  unsolicited criticism and is honest and blunt with his opinion, but he  has a good sense of humour about it and encourages honesty back. He  loves to engage and encourage others in their own passions, making it  very easy for him to network in the process.

His film career started with action figures and Wego sets and eventually evolved into parodies and higher production skits. But what Atticus really wants is to direct for the silver screen; unfortunately, all attempts to break into the industry thus far have been impeded by various roadblocks. And so he’s decided to create an epic about Fantome to submit to a prestigious quadrennial film festival. And then hopefully, he’ll be catching the eyes of distributors.

When it comes to all the strange happenings across the city, Atticus is extremely sceptical. He doesn’t take anything at face value - magic and the occult aren’t real! There must be some kind of underlying trick, like some kind of practical effect or sleight of hand. He’s got all sorts of theories of how things work and would love to find out more behind the scenes. For now, he’ll just capture what he can on film - both so he can dissect it later and so he has material to use for his epic.

Atticus is a balanced character with shoto-like features. While he’s just a normal guy, his moveset is pretty meta as he’s able to add cgi effects for anything supernatural or dangerous-looking. He also does his own stunts and practical effects. Every match could be interpreted as material for his movie, and whether it’s happening in reality or has been edited down is questionable. As a film nerd, a number of his moves also incorporate references to classic films.

• Has a twin sister named Nazca, leader of the dance crew Crash Clowns. They’re the same height. They’re both very competitive, though they don’t have much interest in competing in each other’s specialties. That being said, he is a decent dancer, he’s just not very passionate about it.
• Like a minor celebrity; people may recognize him on the streets if they spend a lot of time online on Bootube.
• Has skills in: directing, producing, writing, acting, stunts, and editing. Specializes in action.
• Though action is his favourite, he’s not opposed to other film genres. He’s watched a lot of stuff! TV series too. He’s also pretty into anime.
• He has a FANTMAN strap as he has been a fan of the movie franchise since he was young. While the more recent movies haven’t been so great, it’s nostalgic to him.
