Profile

George was Betty's husband and the desert village Armorer and chief. He is the father of Duke and Lilly. He is also the pilot of the iron golem 'George', named after him as he is the one who crafted and built it.

Being chief of a village was never easy, especially when there was no way to protect his villagers at night. So in his spare time he crafted a huge iron golem that could be piloted from the inside. The iron golem had safety latches to assist in removing a villager, in case of an emergency or if the Villager stayed too long as the golem was imbued with magic to keep the pilot from needing to leave so quickly...

After completing the golem, before he could test it, that evening there was hordes of zombies attacking the village. And try to make sure everyone was safe including his family, he was bitten. And the last ditch effort to keep from fully zombifying and becoming part of the undead, he had destroyed the safety latches on the iron golem and entered it locking himself inside. Opening the Jaws one time he claimed to his wife that she was now the village chief and that he would do his best to protect them. And with that he shut the golem's mouth.

He had done his final act as village chief and continue to watch over them as the iron golem for decades.

Eventually, he did pass... The iron golem becoming his coffin. But he continued to watch over The village. It broke his heart to watch his wife age, especially after his children left. He eventually watched as in her final act as a mother, she had gotten between a violent villager and a child. Though he rush to try and save her, he was too slow and didn't make it in time. Using his massive hand he grabbed the head of the Villager that was acting violent, and permanently stopped him via the villager's dying wish.

He was broken mentally at the fact that he could not save his beloved even in her old age... But upon seeing the child grow that she had risked her life to save, he continued his duties to protect his people by protecting her... The last of his villagers...

The one his wife died protecting...

Spoiler: He only finds out later that the Villager who is in love with the Illager he has sworn to protect... Is in fact his own grandson; Smith.

When George is not in his iron golem suit, he is in reality a Vex as he died while his children were still young and burdened his wife with the responsibility of watching over The village. It's not that he didn't believe she couldn't do it, but being the chief of a village is a high responsibility and he felt he had burdened her shoulders with such a monumentous task on top of being a single parent...

Fun fact: the iron golem reflects his mental state... If it is in a broken down state he is not mentally well. When his mind is stable and he is accepted his past, the iron golem is at its fullest strength...
