Chau Khatri is one of Plutus' patrons; they're a force to be reckoned with. They're someone with speed and combat on their side thanks to their past as a rising rollerderby star. Chau is a very tenacious, boisterous individual who sticks out from the stretchy, stealthy Plutus stereotype due to their... heavy-handedness. Once they have a goal, all of their energy is directed towards that with a 'whatever it takes' mindset which with their recklessness makes them a formidable foe.

Chau was raised immersed in the underground racing & betting circuits. Their mother was a competitor herself and their father was adjacent to a bookie - managing a lot of the betting & gambling. Being surrounded by the sport and spending a lot of their younger years watching their mother practice, Chau was almost destined to end up competiting themself. They demanded to start practicing as soon as possible and spent hours under the coaching of their mother to become a formidable roller derby player.
They most definitely had a knack for it; Chau would always claim it was in their DNA, atributing their ability to it being in their blood.It didn't take them long to make themself known and rise in the ranks of success - Chau thrived on it. The spike in interest whenever they were in a bout didn't go unnoticed and it only spurred their tenacity on further.
They didn't just attract good attention of cours; many disgruntled betters and opponents wanted them gone from the derby scene. The breaking point came when before a particularly high octane clash, a member of their opposing team tampered with Chau's skates. Unaware of the sabotage, Chau went on to have a nasty 'accident' which cost them half of their leg and all of their career.
Their injuries and rehabilitation forced Chau out of their team and after such a traumatic injury, they found themselves disappearing from the circuits. The physical and mental aftermath of what happened found them in an immensely vulnerable position. Not only had they lost their source of income and purpose, they lost their ability to do what they loved the most.
It didn't take long for Chau to fall on hard times - it's not like underground racing and illegal gambling are the most stable sources of income - and they found themselves completely out of control. Eventually ending up on the Caesar Organisation's doorstep, Chau was offered a state-of-the-art company-issued prosthesis in exchange for their loyalty & employment. They didn't think twice about it and to this day remain devoted & indebted to the org. It did return their missing piece after all.

They're good at coming up with emergency makeshift solutions e.g. temporarily fixing something that broke suddenly
Chau sees Elliot as something of a brother. The two of them entered Plutus around the same time and they saw that as grounds to become total best friends forever! Chau's persistence paid off and now they are very close; they appreciate having somebody who isn't put off by their energy.
Kenta and Chau don't really get along, which is difficult when he is their boss! Their hyperactivity and overall loudness clashes with Kenta's calculated steeliness; opposites don't always attract. Their demeanour easily irritates Kenta which leads to frequent tension and Chau is not one to back down when opposed. They do still follow his orders (to some degree) because, at the end of they day, Kenta is their team captain.
