This slugcat has been marked. What for, and who marked them? They don't know, and it seems as though no one's about to tell them. 

They have anxiety over this fact-- not knowing what sort of "role" whoever marked them has in mind and whether it's something good or bad-- but tries to go through their daily life without worrying about it too much. Not much they can do about their situation anyway.
