THE SLEEPER

Profile: Once a chipper young slugcat, The Sleeper now isn't much more than a lonely wanderer piggybacking off of someone else's story. While the true version of himself got to ascend, The Sleeper has been left behind in a separate timeline, unable to ascend. When awake, The Sleeper is slow moving and struggles to stay on his feet for long. Once a certain amount of time has passed in a cycle, or whenever he exerts himself too much physically, The Sleeper will start suffering from bouts of exhaustion until he gets the chance to sleep in a shelter. While asleep, The Sleeper takes the form of a strange mist-like creature in his dreams and haunts another version of himself. While he is unable to physically interact with anything, in this form he is able to distract other creatures by floating around them or slowly push objects by bumping into them. If the other version of himself is able to survive during this dreaming state, then in the next cycle The Sleeper will have more energy and last a short time longer the next cycle. 

Personality: The Sleeper prides himself on his sharp wit and flexible thinking. While his body may no longer be able to keep up as easily, The Sleeper can find his way through just about any sticky situation as if it were child's play. After all, before he was The Sleeper he was The Navigator, and even after everything the memories of his grand adventures haven't left him. Still, his enthusiasm for exploring has greatly waned since his failed ascension as now there is no point or any sort of goal for him to reach. Recently, loneliness has started to take hold of him as well, as he knows that he could not keep up with another creature for long and is stuck in the mindset that this would only leave him as a burden to anyone else. 

While he wouldn't admit it, he has formed a strange one-sided appreciation for The Carrier as they are too busy with their own task to stick around regardless of anything or anyone around them. On the other hand, the Carrier is too unaware of social relations to even understand or even recognize that The Sleeper has taken an interest in them at all.

I am nuking his page again because I Don't Like It for Many Reasons!!!!!! Not yet though I need to get my ideas in order first :P

• I don't know the exact situation but I think it's kind of going to be more like a karma time loop thing more than "this one version failed to ascend for some reason i guess"
  
• Lives somewhere without rain? Cycles are instead based more around an exhaustion mechanic where being up and moving makes you slower + more weaker over time?
  • Could have more of a normal sleep cycle rather than hibernation? Could be able to wake up to different weather or times of the day
