Cassandra grew up kind, sweet and curious about new things. She inhaled knowledge and because of that, she was always top in her class. Was a people pleaser to a fault.

- Cass is the only human who's immune to the weirdness in Rosebrook, partly because she's aware of the oddities going on (due to being an outsider), and also because she hangs out with the Roses.

Cassandra grew up kind, sweet and curious about new things. She inhaled knowledge and because of that, she was always top in her class. Was a people pleaser to a fault.
Growing up she always knew something was off with her. Whenever she was really upset (always in private, she never showed negative emotions or weakness in front of her parents or other authority figures), things would move and she'd get a nosebleed. At night she would practice so that her powers didn't get triggered by her emotions and able to call on them at will instead of random.
When she was younger Cassandra enjoyed reading mystery novels above her level and trying to solve the other children's issues.
She was always doing her best to please her parents, when she graduated 8th grade with honours in all subjects her parents pushed her to choose university classes in sciences and maths. In her downtime, Cassandra joined the writing club and school paper. This solidified her desire to be an investigative journalist after post-secondary.
This is what caused the fight with her parents. They wanted her to become a doctor, and due to her people-pleasing nature, she went along with it. But now that she's an adult, she finally decided to put her foot down.
However, since she was afraid of any more yelling or negative consequences, Cassandra found herself being pressured into going to medical school. (The furniture, however, also found itself being moved 4 mm to the left of its current position, with no one knowing how or why something felt off. Cassandra's father ended up dropping his favourite cup when he tried to put it down on the coffee table later that day.)
Cassandra would go to medical school, but after getting a postcard from the town of Rosebrook with promises of free board for a year, she took the chance. Since she had everything she needed in her dorm to take off, she did it without telling her parents.
In Rosebrook, the weirdness around her encouraged her investigative nature. It was at the library where she ran into Violet Rose. She was trying to look into Rosebrook's past, while he was there to look into Cassandra DN5532, whose last days were recorded on tapes he found. The two got together to talk it out, though Vio was vague at first.
Cassandra finally got to know about the multi-verse Rosebrook held and Cass at the same time, when Cassandra was almost killed by the other. Her powers, albeit pitiful at the time, saved her as Kleio noticed and pulled her back.

Cass loves Vio, though she doesn't know how to tell him. She appreciates everything that Vio does for her.
Feels threatened by his presence, and wishes Cass would leave him.
