Summary

Nicasio (or Nicky) is Nic's Talonflame. She is one of the only Pokémon in Nic's current roster that was given to Nic instead of being caught or met in the wild.

Story

"Look, I know a lot about who you're dealing with. I'm not ashamed to admit that I used to work with him as well."

Nicasio used to belong to a Team Plasma Grunt named Lant. Lant was an experienced young man himself, who succeeded in completing most of his missions and making his boss happy. He met Nicasio while he was on a mission in Kalos, in which he saved her from a poacher who was about to catch her with his electric net. Since then, Nicasio had gained a liking to Lant, until she started to realize that what he was doing was wrong, but she didn't dare disobey his commands due to her fear for his boss, as she was praised for her effort by none other than Ghetsis himself from time to time.

"You do realize that I'm older than most of you, right?"

It was not until Lant was tasked to work with another grunt named Ceri that things started to change. After Nicasio saved Ceri from falling off a cliff, Lant and Ceri fell in love and even named their child after Nicasio due to what she had done. Nicasio loved playing with the infant whenever she was off-duty (which happened quite a lot due to reasons unknown to her), but started to grow even more suspicious about Lant and Ceri's acts when they started to neglect the infant in order to earn enough money for the family. So, when Tapu Koko was not taking care of the baby due to them being busy with miscellaneous duties (see Nic's backstory for context), Nicasio would try her best to get herself out of her own Poké Ball to take care of her instead. It was hard for a bird Pokémon like her to do much due to her lack of knowledge of what to do at that time, but she still tried her best to learn about her needs. Nicasio grew up with the child, but Lant separated the both of them after the child turned two years old due to him thinking that Nicasio's presence would be a threat to his child. The child grew up to forget most about Nicasio due to the sudden separation, but Nicasio still thought about her whenever Lant mentioned about her in front of Nicasio. 

"Wait... aren't you that kid who was named after me? WHO GAVE ME TO YOU?!"

Due to him finally wanting to apologize about him neglecting her at an early age as well as all the horrible things that he had done to her throughout her childhood, Lant sent a teenage Nic a handwritten note and some old photos as an apology, along with a familiar-looking Poké Ball that looked all battered up. It was at that moment that Nic found out about the truth behind her name as well as remembering the blurry memories that she had with "this one Talonflame". Assuming that there was a Pokémon in the Poké Ball that came included with the note, she clicked the release button on the Poké Ball, and out came Nicasio. Seeing that Nic had grown up to be a teenager now, and noticing that Lant was no longer in sight, Nicasio was, of course, shocked. After Nic handed the Talonflame the note, she finally understood what had happened and accepted her fate as Nic's new team member.

After meeting a certain Kilowattrel, Nicasio became extremely fond of her, and they have been seen hanging out together most of the time (if Nicasio chooses not to treat her Trainer like her own child).
