Bonnevali Von Darkspire's Links
Bonnevali had a very bumpy introduction to her adopted sister. Initially to Bonnevali Sherri was a testament of what she couldn't be, and what her family really wanted as a sister and daughter instead of her. She resented Sherri for that. But when the switch was finally flipped Sherri ended up becoming one of Bonnevali's closest siblings.
"I don't really get Sherri a lot of the time. But she's real cool and commanding and great in a fight. She's cute when she gets excited about stuff. I liked being able to spar with her and go and do fun stuff, like our tea parties. If anyone tries to say she's not a part of my family they're going to have to answer to the wrong end of my machete."
"Bonnevali is really sweet and caring when it comes down to it. She's fussy, and she can be hard to understand, and she doesn't always know what she wants... but that's who she is. Once you get used to it, you don't really want her to change things up anymore. I love her, and I hope I've made up for the way she felt when she came back at first."
"You know. Looking back, I don't know how I survived as a tolerable person without Aebel. Shard that, I was never a tolerable person before Aebel. I'll maul you and drain you of every last bit of your blood if you hurt my Aebey Baby."
"Bonnevali has a strong force of will and we're all very proud of her. But I do hope she knows how loved she is. I still worry about her from time to time."
While Flannery is closer to Bonnevali in age than they are to most of their siblings, their relationship feels like one of the more distant ones due to the stark contrast in their natures. Flan at times regrets not trying more to engage in Bon's interests and spend time with her, and they worried during the time that she was away. They were happy to see her when she came back, though it did take time to get used to her being home and the changes that she had gone through. Concerns and regrets aside, Flan is proud of Bon for making the decision to explore the world and find what would make her happiest.
She's basically my big sister, but don't tell her that cause she hates that. We had a few years where we were NOT close, but you know what, that's fine by me. Age gaps do that. I'm just glad that she's around again, even if I have to march *cross country* with the kids in hand to meet up with her nowadays.
