About
Ayame is a cold warrior that strives for excellence in everything they do. They care deeply about doing the right thing, and has a fierce sense of justice. They are extremely protective of the people they serve, and are quite prejudiced against anything else. Anything they find "dirty" must be eradicated, as having any contact with them will ruin the sanctity and peace of normal angel life.
They tend to come off uncaring and cruel, but truthfully they care about others a lot. They just don’t know how to show it, and end up coming off course. Their cold and rough demeanor makes others distrust Ayame, but they simply don’t see a reason to act any other way. Their job is the most important thing to them. Others tend to just get in the way, so it’s better off that they’re alone.

Likes
Fighting Fighting is something they are good at, and can easily get lost in. They don’t have to think or focus, they can let their instincts take over. It’s very freeing.
Rules A strong structured list of rules makes life comfortable and easy. Do as you’re told and don’t do anything to deviate from the status quo.
Music Though their busy life doesn’t leave a lot of time for creative hobbies, listening to and playing music has always been a guilty pleasure. They only really do it for the entertainment of their friends, but something about making up a melody is very soothing.
Praise Ayame is extremely aware of how disliked they are. They are a cursed being that sits too closely to the king for anyone’s liking. They know this, so they try to make up for it by being the best at everything they do. They worry endlessly about doing enough… so it’s nice to know someone is proud of them.
Dislikes
Demons Any enemy of the king is an enemy of Ayame. They rebel and hurt others for fun, something Ayame can’t ignore. They are dirty and sinful creatures that Ayame has vowed to exterminate.
Crowds Large groups of people make Ayame a bit claustrophobic. Their eyes watching them and the weight of their expectations is crushing… so they tend to avoid busy places/
Feeling “dirty” Ayame can’t stand the feeling of anything on their body that doesn’t belong there. It reminds them of their curse, and they feel like they need to clean themselves immediately.
Food Because they are cursed, they are forced to consume food to live, unlike most other angels. It’s a disgusting and uncomfortable process and Ayame could really do without it.
- Since they are cursed, and cannot use magic or fly like other angels can.
- Though they are usually a stickler for the rules, they are pretty weak willed against their companions.
- They must take a potion monthly to suppress the effects of the curse they are under.
- No one knows their real birthday, but they do celebrate the day they were taken in by Kah. It’s 5/10

Strengths
Leader They are cool tempered and intelligent, making them a great leader to their companions and subordinates.
Fearless They are strong and very confident in their abilities, making them unafraid of their enemies no matter their size or strength.
Acrobatic Their body is light, they know just how to throw their weight around.
Range They are fairly small compared to the monsters they fight, so they’ve trained their body to work with weapons far larger than they are, giving them a ranged advantage.
Flaws
Stubborn Once they get an idea in their head, it's hard for them to admit they are wrong. So if a plan doesn’t work, they’ll still keep trying even if it puts them at risk.
Prejudiced They will go out of their way to go after EVERY demon, whether they’re an enemy or not. They start needless fights just out of their own dislike for demons.
Unsociable Their cold demeanor causes others to distrust them, making it difficult for them to get information from civilians when needed. They also lack allies for this same reason.
Stunted Their curse has limited their strength and prevented them from using the same abilities and advantages that other angels have. They fight at an extreme disadvantage compared to others and it shows.
Design
Notes
- Their cape is made of a thick, durable fabric which is hard to tear. It’s quite heavy.
- They are rarely seen in anything besides their uniform. Some say they even wear it in their sleep.
- The cross on their neck is also a part of their uniform, but it also doubles as their weapon. When they take it off, it grows into a large cross with blades at the end.
- Unlike others that are cursed, there is no mark on their body.

Summary
Unwanted Child
Ayame was abandoned shortly after they were born, presumed to be a bastard child born out of passion and cursed for existing. Dropped off in front of Heaven’s castle in the middle of the night, the king as the one that found them. From the kindness of his heart, the king decided to take in the child, and raise it. Ayame figured out very early on that Kah was not their father, and felt indebted to the king for being so gracious to a cursed child like them.
Rather than become the heir to the throne, Ayame was content to become a strong knight, fit to protect the king that saved their life. They decided to become the perfect warrior, to be of use to the king and the ones he ruled. Anything they did, they would do for the king.
Need to Succeed
The years passed, and Ayame worked hard. Harder and harder they pushed to become perfect, they turned their heart cold so they wouldn’t falter when the time came that they were needed. The further up the rankings they went, the harder they worked. They almost died many times, but it was worth it to become a better knight. Their life was expendable, and they knew that. They were just glad to be stronger. While that kind of mindset was admirable to some, their cold demeanor left them without many allies. Not to mention their close connection to the king brought them many jealous glares.
But Ayame didn’t care, their goal was clear. When they were finally old enough to become a real knight and go on missions, they jumped at the chance to take any mission given to them. They took on a lot of grunt work, but it didn’t matter. Ayame was given a partner, a younger girl named Eiko who was supposedly a prodigy, and they were given an unheard of task.
Unexpected Roads
There had been rumors swirling around of a rebellion against Kah.. something unfathomable to Ayame but true nonetheless. Recently, they had captured one of the rebels.. and Kah tasked Ayame with working with the rebel to find out where the mastermind of the rebellion was so they could snuff it out before it got any bigger. Basically, Ayame had to babysit a criminal until he felt like giving them information. Not exactly Ayame’s dream job. But they still agreed, since it was an order directly from the king.
Clearly it was important enough for the king himself to get involved, and if he believed Ayame was needed, then they were happy to try. The criminal was a young boy named Hero, a fallen beast-kind. He was rowdy and uncooperative.. Ayame wasn’t sure this mission was going to work. But they were all stuck together until the end of the mission so maybe they would learn to work together.

Eiko Clow
A cute and graceful angel that works alongside Ayame on their missions. They are a very talented magic user, but can be a bit ditsy when it comes to remembering information. Once, Ayame saved Eiko from some bullies when she was younger and Eiko has been trying to pay them back ever since. They are good friends and care for one another very much.
Hero
A rough and rowdy fallen angel that basically lives as Ayame’s prisoner. They bicker constantly and he is always trying to challenge Ayame despite the clear difference in their abilities. Ayame finds him annoying and although they try to get along, they just can’t stand each other. Despite all that, some would say they do get along, as rivals in a weird way.
Lord Kah
The kind adoptive father of Ayame, though they would never think so lowly of him. He is a strong, beloved king that takes care of his people and carefully looks after Ayame despite their cursed nature. Ayame looks up to him a lot, and longs to be his personal knight.
