Vermilion "Mili" Nova

A former Octarian weapon constructor. Verimilion has impressive physical strength due to a past spent building and operating construction machines. At 16, she was inspired by a legendary song to leave this past behind and start her life anew, after which she deserted the Octarian forces. She has a surprisingly gentle disposition depsite having a strong physique.

In contrast to the machines she spent her lifetime surrounded by, Vermilion wanted to spend her time surrounded by nature. For a year she didn't have a roof over her head and lived hidden in the woods, surviving with measly funds earned from playing PVP matches. Aside from playing Turf and Ranked matches, Vermilion socilaized very little with others because she had a poor grasp of Inkling language and a fear of being ostracized.

Vermilion is an Octobrush player with a very aggresive and reckless playstyle that contrasts her otherwise calm demeanor. She can often be found at the forefront of a fight or taking an off-angle on the enemy. She overpowers unsuspecting opponents with unsympathetic force and fierce movement, and is secretly driven by retribution against those who insulted her.

Vermilion is in a relationship with a squid girl named Cyan, who gave her the nickname 'Mili'. They met each other in a Turf match, and again later that day while Vermilion was upset about having been hassled by others. Seeing that Vermilion didn't have any friends, Cyan happily kept her company, and slowly but surely their relationship became more than friendly. After putting two and two together, Cyan realized that Mili was very different from her, which was the reason why other people would pick on her.

Vermilion's feelings were true, yet Cyan feared backlash from her siblings, especially from her oldest sister. Their relationship was kept secret from Cyan's siblings for 3 years. This unfortunately led to a argument between Cyan and Cerulean when the relationship was found out, largely due to the relationship being secretive. Vermilion was shaken by this fallout, leading her to have fears of ever running into Cerulean again. In addition to this, she's begun to have worries that she is responsible for the tension between these sisters.
