Viridian Kuritake

Viridian is a former Octarian soldier of some fame even before becoming a deserter. He has possesed a ton of natural talent since his childhood and developed his combat capabilities at a much faster rate than his peers. Viridian was going to be stationed alongside the Elite Octoling Amazon forces before hearing the echoes of a legendary song and disappearing the next day. He fought his way into fame even in Inkling society. He goes by the alias Viri-Kuri.

Viridian doesn't have much of a favored style, but he does consistenly wear a beanie hat and sneakers. He has a logo which is a green pointy letter V, with a leaf sticking up from the right. He occasionally wears this logo on his shirt, and signs his name with this logo.

Viridian is known in the competitive scene and is an extremely powerful player. He is the founder of a team called Tentacuffs, consisting of him, a Splattershot player, a Roller player, and a Charger player, and switch out various weapons in these classes for different situations. His team was known to be incredibly fierce fighters and never allowed their enemies to reach a KO. The team went strong for about 2 years, but has been on a slow decline and discord has been brewing among Tentacuff's members, due to drastically changing schedules and a decrease in properly attended practice sessions and scrims. Viridian has kept his personal thoughts on the status of his team to himself.

He is serious about his matches and has extremely high expectations of his teammates. He is easily annoyed by teammates that don't measure up to his abilities, and opponents that don't give him a challenge. Viridian has an unfortiunate habit of phrasing his advice very poorly. Even when intends to be helpful, his words come off as condescending, and this has damaged his reputation towards newer competitive players. He's been addressing this issue and trying to patch up his image by hosting open Turf and Ranked sessions and helping anyone who wants to improve. These sessions usually don't go on for long because Viridian ultimately has little patience for teammates that aren't as keen as he is. Viridian also doesn't find himself capable of truly enjoying any non-competitive battle like Turf, or Salmon Run shifts anymore. Ranked matches are the only kinds of battle that he genuinely has fun with.

Viridian is shockingly relaxed in a non-battle context. He plays a an acoustic guitar as a hobby, and tends to be most at ease when laying sprawled out in a wide open field of grass.
