History
Soleil was part of a fated enemy reincarnation cycle with some Horrible Entity and played the role of the Plucky, Noble Hero. She was so Plucky & Noble, in fact, that she even received a blessing from an angel who granted her the powers of Light during a particularly arduous battle and resulted in all her subsequent reincarnations being born with latent magical abilities based on sunlight.
UNFORTUNATELY, these constant battles across time starting wearing her down and, during her most recent reincarnation as a sunlight witch after she learned about her past for like the 100th time, Soleil decided she had had enough of this nonsense and tried to break the cycle in what was definitely the most sensible way possible: she sold her soul to a demon queen named Laraje to also become a demon for the longevity and then murdered her rival once again. Sure, Laraje now owns her soul, but Soleil has enjoyed centuries of peace this way and there's no way her rival would resurface since she herself has not died again to renew the cycle, right?? Pretty good gig, all things considered.

- Regardless of her Shiny Demon Status, she still can't turn down people who need help
- That said, she's concerned that dying might rekindle the reincarnation cycle so she's not as selfless or reckless about it as she used to be
- Soleil meant to become more selfish since she can actually have her life to herself for once but then she just feels guilty so that hasn't been working too great
- In her previous lives she used swords because of course she did, heroes use swords. She's switched to a halberd currently since swords just give her bad memories now
- She's currently hunting down relics of the purity god since one of them may be able to break the cycle but hasn't had any luck yet
- Demons aren't nearly as bad as Aaryn made them sound, she's known mortals who were significanty worse and angels who were significantly more annoying,

[ Annoyance ] They used to be close friends back in Soleil's previous lives, he's even the one who gave her light magic to begin with, but that sure isn't the case anymore! Becoming a demon (predictably) created a giant rift between them and they're enemies now but it's fine, his attitude was insufferable anyway. >:/ It's unfortunate he's still stronger than her and her light magic is useless against angels, but she'll fight him anyway.

[ Dead ] Soleil absolutely Flipped A Gasket when she found out she was alive again since that rendered her entire Selling Her Soul gambit pointless. She doesn't understand why she's back either unless this is some sort of divine joke at her expense but, by the gods, she's going to put her back down before she gets dragged back into this abhorrent cycle AGAIN...

[ A Pain ] So. This guy was a horrible and intimidating threat back when Soleil fought against the Queen of Wraith's allies, but after actually meeting him and spending time with him... he's an idiot. But he's a strong idiot at least so Soleil still wants him on her side anyway with all these angels around.

[ ... ] Her best friend and sometimes love interest in her former lives, though OBVIOUSLY that's out of the question this time. >:'( Soleil was mortified to see her alive again and, of course, she remembers nothing and is still obsessed with purging demons. Of course. Soleil goes out of her way to avoid her.
