History
Leonis was an angel [throne, specifically] to the minor goddess of purity and served faithfully by her side for millennia until she was murdered by the primordial gods for meddling too much in the affairs of mortals with her creation of the divine relics. Most of her angels scattered to serve under other gods since an angel without a god will eventually be stripped of their divinity and turn into a demon regardless of their actions and piety, but Leonis viewed this as an act of betrayal against their True Goddess and has refused to join any others in the pantheon, despite the terrifying consequence of falling. Instead he decided to descend from the divine realms to Ceres to continue the purity goddess' will himself. Unfortunately, this turned out to be more difficult than it sounded since Leonis has No experience with mortals or anyone who wasn't from his goddess' domain in general and also he no longer has the ability to sense purity in other's hearts. The super fun result of that is that Leonis is taken advantage of constantly but it's ok, he knows they can change. :]
After a particularly unfortunate and also extremely stupid attempt at mugging considering he has no money, Leonis was found and healed by Viola who later unceremoniously dumped him at Aaryn's door once she reached her limit with his attitude. Aaryn [begrudgingly] accepted him into his apartment and has been trying to teach Leonis how to fit in with mortals and perform basic necessities since he doesn't even have enough skills to get a job, but Leonis hasn't made much progress since he prefers to focus on his own goals while he still has time.

Trivia
- He tries to befriend everyone to fill the void where his goddess and her other angels were but it's not working too well :')
- Aaryn is trying to teach him basic things like cooking and cleaning but Leonis is resistant to the ideas and hasn't made much progress
- Since he's losing his divinity, he experiences hunger and tiredness on rare ocassions and it really freaked him out the first time it happened
- He loves the entire concept of pets and keeps bringing stray animals into Aaryn's apartment, much to the latter's dismay
- Leonis has a bad habit of sticking the word "mortal" in front of things in normal conversation (mortal food, mortal transportation, etc) and that combined with the way he dresses tends to get some weird looks at the very least
- Despite being one of the most powerful types of angels (only below seraphim & cherubim), he hates conflict and takes pains to avoid it at nearly any cost
- He still has a lot of pride connected to being a throne and how he used to be in direct contact with his goddess so being called simply "an angel," y'know, the lowest class, irks him more than he'd like to admit. He's a throne :<
