Diet: Kiyoshi tends to eat foods with the color red in it. His quirk for some reason can turn foods of this color into energy to make him stronger. So, no, he doesn’t drink blood. The major downside to this is that if he goes a long period of time without having this pigment in his system, he becomes extremely irritable and angry. His personality goes completely off the haywire, and it can be quite scary.

Fitness: He’s very healthy, but despite all the training he does he's really not the type to get a lot of muscle. He really doesn't need to anyways considering he already has superhuman strength.

Character

Traits:
Don’t let his spooky appearance fool you; Kiyoshi is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet! He loves to meet others and make new friends, he can be quite a talker and he loves to make others smile. Kiyo is known for being a huge empath, and will do whatever it takes to listen to others if they have a problem, and is always there and open to be a shoulder to cry on. His heart is so full in fact, that it tends to run the better part of his emotions; he can be quite the crybaby when it comes to any sort of overwhelming emotion he experiences. He's a bit dramatic, but he just cant help but to express himself to his fullest.
 Kiyo just really enjoys making friends in general and really believes in being morally good. He’s not one to get mad either- it takes quite a lot for him to snap at you. Really the only time you’ll see him completely out of character is when he’s starving for red foods. 

As much of a positive energy that he has though, Kiyo is plagued with his own insecurities like everyone else. He does have his days where his self esteem is shot and it can be draining for him, but he's trying his very best to improve himself every day and accept himself for being who he is, and he absolutely is not afraid to admit that. He's more than willing to help others struggling with the same issues as him, and loves to help others feel good in any way he possibly can.

As big as his heart is though, he does know for a fact that his sensitivity can get in the way of his hero work, and is working hard to try to push his feelings aside. On the field his positive attitude still lingers, but he is a lot more serious and determined on the job. He's quite a quick and fast re-flexed person once he gets down the business, and he wont let anyone get in the way of stopping a criminal.

Overall, this vampire absolutely is full of life and isn't as scary as his appearance makes him out to be, contrary to what others might think.

Relationship Status: Single, but has a crush on Tenya Iida

One would say that Mayonaka’s crush on Iida was pretty apparent, but he would try to convince you otherwise. His crush on 1-A'S class president started from afar, he thought he was really cute, and he would spend his time ogling at him from his lunch table he sits at with Brooklyn. He was way too much of a chicken to just go up to him and start friendly conversation, but Brooklyn basically convinced him to just shoot his shot and see what happens.
Since then, Kiyoshi and Iida are actually pretty good friends now! Kiyoshi really likes to just talk to him sometimes and hang out after school with him. Kiyoshi just really loves how much of a dork Iida is, he really has such a good time around him and honestly if he wasn’t so insecure in himself he would try to get closer to him. He understands that Iida takes lot of care to sticking by the rules, and he just simply thinks that he would get in his way or he’s not good enough for him. Or maybe it’s his quirk that’s the problem? Would Tenya even like a vampire? He’s not sure.
Kiyoshi really tries to not admit to his feelings for Iida at all, but it’s extremely apparent to everyone else that he does, I mean he talks about him way too much and everyone sees the way he looks at him; come on now.

Quirk: Vampirism

Kiyoshi doesn’t know much about his mother Kagami, as she is completely estranged to him. She was a notorious villain on the run for literal years, a woman who would rob people blind, killing them in cold blood if needed. Every time she'd move areas she'd pick up a new identity, change her appearance as much as possible as well as fake her identity. Kagami met Kiyoshi's father Masaaki at one of his book signing events that he was hosting, as she was a big fan of his work. The two hit it off not long after this, and did love each other deeply. However, despite now being in a loving relationship with a man he was about to start a family with, she was living a lie to him about what he true identity was. Masaaki had no idea she was actually a wanted criminal- hell, she didnt even know her real name.
Eventually Kiyoshi was born and Kagami fell in love with him; her son was her absolute pride and joy, and having him and Masaaki by her side almost made her want to consider fessing up to her actions and leaving her criminal past behind. Obviously this didnt happen though, as when Kiyoshi was about three years old Kagami was finally caught and arrested for her crimes and sentenced to life in prison. Kiyoshi barely has any memory of her and isnt allowed contact with her at his fathers command. He barely tells anyone of his mother as he's already caught in the stigma of having a quirk to be feared, and this obviously would not help his reputation.

Quirk: Copy/Paste- Masaaki's quirk allows him to take any words he has in his mind and get them onto paper instantly by just looking at it, no pencil necessary.

Kiyoshi and his father Masaaki are extremely close. His father is one of Kiyoshi’s greatest role models- Masaaki used to work for a hero agency as a spy, using his quirk to collect information from villains and reporting back to base. He did this for years and was extremely good at his job, but after a while he wanted to go to his real passion, which was writing horror novels. As stated before, he absolutely loved Kiyoshi's mother; he was more than devastated once she was arrested. Ever since this incident he developed quite the case of trust issues as well as depressive episodes, however he always tried his best to focus all of his attention on Kiyoshi while he was growing up. Masaaki was always there for him and always gave everything he got to support his son's path in becoming a hero, right down to training him to make sure he'd pass his entrance exam with flying colors. He couldnt be more proud of Kiyoshi, and Kiyoshi wouldnt be where he is today if it wasnt for him.

Friends: 

Brooklyn Lawson (Class 2-B Member)
Brooklyn and Kiyoshi are best friends! The two met shortly after starting classes at UA, he loves how friendly she is and he always likes to go to her to vent about any problems he’s having. They tell eachother everything, really. They hang out sometimes after school, he just really enjoys her company and he'd do anything for her. Brooklyn is also the only one that Kiyoshi has admitted his crush on Iida to, believe it or not.

Daisuki Fukuhara (RobotDotJpeg's oc)
He really enjoys being around Daisuki, he thinks he’s a super nice guy and he really appreciates how much of a loving a positive person he could be! Besides Brooklyn, Kiyoshi would also probably see Daisuki as a huge comfort friend and would love to hang out with him a lot. He probably annoys him with silly bug jokes because that’s just the type of friend Kiyoshi is.

Kiyoshi really likes Keoki as well, and he can honestly relate to her the most when it comes down to their quirks. He completely understands what it's like to have a quirk that generally turns people away, and that's defninetly a bonding point for him. However, because Kiyoshi relates to that on such a strong level, he loves encouraging her that her quirk isnt so bad, since he's learning to love his own as well! He overall thinks she's a really sweet girl and enjoys hanging out with her, overall really enjoying her calm presence and kind attitude. 

Acquaintances:

Ayami Akira (Class 2-B Member)
Kiyoshi doesn’t know much about her as she’s shy, but he sees her as a nice girl! The two aren’t buddy-buddy or anything and have only spoke a few times, but Kiyoshi really respects her for having such a powerful quirk she can utilize, and he overall thinks she’s a sweet girl. 

Kurtis (bottledcryptid’s oc, Class 2-B Member)
Same with Ayami, Kiyoshi doesn’t know much about him but he thinks he’s really nice (even though Kiyoshi kind of finds it silly that such a tiny thing like himself is trying to be a hero)! He sees him and Ayami around together and honestly the most interaction he probably has with Kurtis is going up to him when he’s with Ayami and swooning over how adorable they are together.

Katashi Seishin (Class 2-B Member)
Despite them both being related to supernatural themes, Kiyoshi is a bit scared of Katashi. Kiyoshi has tried multiple times to try to become his friend or convince him to join in on other fun class activities, but Katashi just seems to give him the cold shoulder. Kiyoshi is a bit scared of how intimidating he can be, honestly. He is still determined to be friendly with him though.

Orenji Tachibana (Class 2-B Member)
To be blunt; Kiyoshi doesn't really like his attitude. He also really does not enjoy being around him for very long because he absolutely hates lemons and Orenji is constantly smelling like one. Kiyo doesn't exactly appreciate how much he teases everyone in the class (including Kiyoshi himself), and he just wishes Orenji would learn to be kinder and more respectful to other around him. In general Kiyoshi just tries to stay away from him.

 Quirk + Costume

Quirk Name: Vampirism
Type: Mutant
Description: Kiyoshi’s quirk gives him most of the abilities of a classic vampire. His quirk is easily identified by his sharp fangs and long elf ears. His body gets stronger whenever he eats something that’s of the color red, and his quirk typically works best in dark settings. 
Fighting Style:  Mainly close range combat


Strengths:
• Despite his poor eyesight, Kiyoshi has an incredible sense of hearing. He can hear further than most humans can
• His quirk allows him to fly off the ground
• He’s incredibly fast. This combined with his flying ability is a great thing to have in combat
• He has superhuman strength and can lift about 10 times his bodyweight

Weaknesses:
• Kiyoshi’s quirk is practically useless in incredibly bright settings. The more sunlight there is, the weaker his quirk/body is.
• If he goes a long time without eating red foods, he becomes extremely agitated and his quirk’s abilities will not work at all.
• Using a fire attack around him is just as effective in weakening his quirk as natural sunlight

Hero Costume/Equipment:
• Kiyoshi wanted to look like a typical classic vampire as that’s the only thing he’s known for. There really isn’t anything special to it.
• He MUST wear contacts to battle. He learned this the hard way after he smashed a pair of his glasses while training.
• The only major technology on his costume are the metal parts on the bottom of his boots, as well as his cape. The boots allow him to walk along any surface he chooses so he can crawl around on walls and stuff, and covering his body with his cape will allow him to turn invisible, adding more to his vampire-like look

Background

Kiyoshi’s main inspirations to wanting to become a hero mainlt stemmed from the inspiration of his father, and his lifelong struggle of having a quirk that most are quick to judge with. Growing up wasn’t very easy sometimes for Kiyoshi; it was very difficult for him to make friends with kids his own age, as people misunderstood his quirk for being deadly, and this made him feel completely alienated from everyone else. He constantly would have the feeling of being a freak on his mind, overall gorwing up with feelings of despising his own quirk. His father Masaaki was one of the first to help turn Kiyoshi’s negative thoughts into something he could turn into a positive. All the hero stories Kiyoshi would hear and words of encouragement from his father helped Kiyoshi to realize his dream of becoming a pro hero; he wanted to make his father proud and prove to the world that he is a good person, that people with seemingly misunderstood quirks like his can rise up and benefit society too. Deep down he also wants to spite his mother and be better than her to prove that his quirk can be used for things other than what she used it for, but he won’t mention it to anybody.
Kiyoshi worked hard in his studies during school for most of his life while training with his father on his off time. He was extremely determined to get into UA’s hero program. All his hard work eventually did pay off, and he ended up passing his entrance exams with flying colors. Kiyoshi is determined to continue to work hard and stay on the path to becoming a pro hero, and will continue to do so regardless of the cost.
