Other Distinguishing features: Ayami has large canines, incredibly large eyes, and a long, mantis shrimp tail. She also has a pair of antennae right on the top of her head. She also doesn’t really have a nose.

Diet: Ayami can eat normal food like any other person, but the only special thing that she must have in her diet is salt water. She must drink it regularly or she will quickly get dehydrated and weak.

♦ Character♦

Traits:
Ayami is an incredibly shy girl, believe it or not. She’s one to not really say much or really interact with other people. She’s quite insecure with herself overall, not really the type to do risky things or break the rules. Ayami typically loves spending time with herself. She also comes off as gullible and naïve; she’s not really there in the “common sense” department. She is however, very good with paying attention to detail; who wouldn’t be with those giant eyes of hers?
Ayami is the type of person to go the extra mile and support you and make you feel special. She cares about everyone’s feelings, making sure to put everyone else before her as she sees herself as more “lesser”.

However, Ayami’s attitude can somehow do a 180 on itself if you catch her in a boxing ring or training at UA. Being the persona of Spectrum gives Ayami an incredible amount of confidence in herself; she doesn’t seem so shut in once she’s able to be in a position to fight. Ayami wants to be a pro hero and she’ll be damned if she doesn’t act like one. She's insecure, sure, but she absolutely will not hesitate to bash your face in if need be to protect those around her.

• Boxing: Ayami likes to spend her time practicing her punches and other moves by taking boxing classes. She finds it a good way to let off steam and beneficial to her future pro hero career.

Relationship Status: Taken by Kurtis (Class 2-B Member ; bottledcryptid’s oc)
Kurtis and Ayami met in class, obviously. Kurtis was actually the one to approach Ayami first, and that’s basically how they became good friends. The two talked all the time and hung out a lot; Kurtis actually did develop a crush on Ayami during this time and would constantly do things to try to get her to notice his feelings, but since Ayami is bad at reading hints like this she would brush it off. Ayami herself did also have feelings for him too, but she figured that it was just too silly a notion to bring into reality. Eventually Kurtis did work up the courage to ask Ayami out, and Ayami acted with surprise which was probably very confusing for Kurtis.
Ayami loves him very much and she probably smothers him constantly, he’s like her best friend. She really loves the fact that they can continue to grow stronger and become heroes together. If a villain ever touched him, they would just have to deal with her personally.

Ayami’s mother is the one who she inherited her quirk from. Etsuko is a woman with her own small business who makes and sells jewelry in a small marketplace; she doesn’t do much to try to stand out with her quirk at all. Initially she did not want her daughter to follow her aspirations of becoming a hero at all; what if she lost her? What if she got seriously hurt? It took a lot for Etsuko to want to let her daughter go as she is very protective of her. But she eventually got over it, and along with her father she became one of Ayami’s biggest supporters. She’s extremely proud of her and wishes the best for her safety.

Ayami’s father is a well-known, tough boxing trainer for pro heros. He was initially one of the first people to inspire Ayami’s path onto becoming a hero; she admires him for how tough and confident he is. Riku was thrilled when he first found out that Ayami wanted to become a hero, and immediately wanted to start training her at his private gym. The two are inseparable and he admires how far Ayami has come. However, anyone does so much as harm one hair on his daughter, Riku would personally find them and hurt them himself. 


Friends:

Ayami thinks Namatasuki is a really sweet girl, and really enjoys bonding with her since they have quite a few things in common. She really enjoys talking with her and would probably try and get her to hang out with her a lot; I'm sure Ayami also would constantly compliment whatever clothes she’s wearing too. She just really appreciates the company. Ayami is honestly super appreciative of the fact that there’s another person with a quirk like hers out there, it really makes her feel good. 

Izuku Midoriya
Ayami actually met Deku through her boyfriend Kurtis! She really admires him for everything he’s done so far at UA, and she really enjoys talking with him about hero stuff or hanging out with him. I’m sure Deku and her exchange tips to each other about how they harness their quirk all the time as well. Overall Ayami thinks he’s a very kind person and enjoys his company and takes a lot of inspiration from him. 

Brooklyn Lawson (Class 2-B Member)
Her and Brooklyn are pretty close, and Ayami is very thankful that she’s friends with her once she started her time at UA. Brooklyn loves to try to get Ayami to come out of her shell more in other spaces besides hero work, and Ayami is so appreciative of her for constantly trying to make her feel good about herself. Brooklyn typically loves to take Ayami to go on walks and stuff, Ayami just loves the fact that Brook is able to see past the shy shell she keeps around herself. 

Kinoko Aka (Class 2-B Member)
Considering Kinoko is such a quiet patient person, it wasn't too difficult for the two to become friends at all. Ayami finds Kinoko to be a very fun, relieving person to be around, Ayami appreciates the fact that someone who matched her energy reached out to be friends with her. Her and Kinoko definitely sit and just hang out talking together outside a lot, or go out to drink tea together.

Penelope Robinson (Class 2-B Member)
Penelope is definitely one of Ayami's closest friends. The two have a personality that it almost exactly the same, even though Ayami is objectively not as stoic as Penny is. Ayami holds nothing but major respect for how strong Penelope is as a hero, and the two definitely exchange combat tips and train together constantly. Ayami trusts her with expressing her silliest secrets and thoughts, which is a big thing for her considering how unexpressive she is around most others. 


Acquaintances:
Kiyoshi Mayonaka (Class 2-B Member)
Kiyoshi and her don’t talk much, but she does appreciate that he always comes up to her and tries to start friendly conversation with her. She is a bit intimidated by his vampire-like appearance, but regardless she still thinks he’s a nice guy and she wishes she wasn’t so awkward, so she could be better friends with him.

Katashi Seishin (Class 2-B Member)
Point blank; Ayami is scared of him. She really hates anything horror themed and honestly just the thought of imagining what Katashi sees on a daily basis scares her. She does think that she jumps to conclusions and judges him a bit too much since he does seem lonely, but honestly after seeing what he can do with his quirk she’s not really willing to try to get close to him. 

Katsu Amemori (Class 2-B Member)
Ayami really doesn't know much about Katsu, but from the very few times they've been around each other and interacted, she thinks Katsu is a huge sweetheart. Even if she is afraid to be around him when he uses his quirk.

Luke Marshall (Class 2-B Member)
Again, she doesn't know much about him as most others in class, but Ayami has a huge respect for him considering how strong he physically is as a hero. She definitely is jealous of how strong his legs are, she wouldn't admit it out loud though.

Ronnie Carter (Class 2-B Member)
Ronnie isn't exactly her friend, but he's probably one of the only kids in class that wants to talk to her as much as he does. The two share a huge mutual respect for each other considering their the strongest ones in class. Ayami finds Ronnie's social and persistent attitude a bit too overwhelming to handle sometimes, but she does appreciate him anyways.

Orenji Tachibana (Class 2-B Member)

Hero Costume/Equipment:
• Ayami didn’t really want something big or flashy for her hero costume, so it’s quite simple in appearance.
• Her chest armor is made of a very strong material, it protects her very well in battle
• Her boxing gloves were mostly a personal flair by her as she knows how to fight best while having them on. They’re technologically designed so that Ayami will get the most out of every punch she makes.
