Physical Appearance

• Long green-blue hair in multiple thick strands

Clothing Style

When first released from her containment, Kalbay wears a rather ragged medical gown until Daven suggests she pick out some new clothes from a town the Clones raided. She picks out a jean skirt, leather boots, and blue and green plaid button up top with rolled up sleeves. She wears this for a while until she can acquire some clothing made of a specially made rifting infused cloth that channels Elemental rifting seamlessly (this is the same material that Mackerby Rainstle wears in his primary outfit). Hers would normally be a blue-ish gray, but it responds to her powerful Ayr rifting and tends to match the green-blue shades of her hair and skin, along with some black accents. This outfit consists of a multi-layered tank top with multiple armbands and wrappings that almost look like sleeves on her arms. She also wears a layered skirt along with leggings and wrappings around her calves to her feet.

She normally defaults to her rifting weave outfit, but while traveling she'll also wear normal clothing. She tends to gravitate toward Dust Lands styles, which can be compared to western styles (although they wouldn't know what "western" means). She dresses somewhat similarly to the clothing she picked out at first, but she'll opt for pants more often along with a leather jacket. She has a combination of biker and cowgirl styles in her outfits, but she'll often dress to the region she happens to be in.

Personality

Kalbay initially was rather cold and distant from everyone around her, being very suspicious of others and always questioning their motives. She was, and is still, slow to trust, and while she's learned about morals and ethics, she doesn't value them that much and isn't motivated to help others just out of the kindness of her heart. Following the events of Lord Bookun's invasion on Crystal Field, Kalbay became more independent and confident in exploring the world and not letting her distrust of others slow her down. She's also more likely to aid others when they're in trouble, but she usually only intervenes if other Clones are causing trouble. Otherwise she'll let things play out on their own.

Kalbay is very much a loner and tends to be aloof most often. She doesn't particularly dislike being around others, but she's certainly not affectionate or easily approachable. She prefers to travel and not stick around in one place for too long, and she feels more comfortable with interacting with people for the first time and likely not encountering them again.

Weaknesses

• Cold, aloof, harshly honest, and doesn't care if she offends others
• Usually doesn't help others and leaves others to their fate unless other Clones are involved
• Refuses to emotionally invest in very many people and keeps her thoughts and feelings to herself

Backstory

Kalbay was created as a modified clone of Mackerby Rainstle when he was brainwashed by Vinia Demrile. Although she was made by the original creator of most Clones, she was taken to another lab by a rogue group of scientists to do modifications her original creator never would've done. Kalbay refuses to speak of her time there, but it was clear she was changed to appear vastly different from Mackerby Rainstle in order to hide the fact she was a clone of him. The modifications included accelerating her growth, so she was made to reach physical maturity and hasn’t changed much since this point in time.

As a Clone, she also had Mackerby's ability to copy other powers/energies and also expel possessing forces from others, along with his potential to rift all of the Elements. However, when attempting to accelerate her mastery of the Elements through experimentation, their initial test failed miserably and caused her to permanently be stuck in a state of Ayr rifting mastery. Experiments to fix the damage got increasingly painful for her, and eventually she snapped and destroyed the lab and everyone in it. She remained at the ruins for some time until another group of Clones investigated and brought her back to Clone City. Her original creator attempted to fix the modifications done to her, and under her own request Kalbay was placed into stasis so she wouldn't feel any pain during the procedures.

Kalbay was taken out of stasis years later after Lord Bookun led a raid on Crystal Field. He sent a foreign space pilot, Daven Karma, whom he had forced to help him in exchange for his life, to Clone City to gather more Clones for the invasion. Lord Bookun's other allies managed to force their creator to hand over more of his strongest Clones available, and Kalbay was among those. She wasn't particularly invested in the efforts against Crystal Field, yet she was drawn to Daven due to his completely foreign appearance and technology, and she decided to help him conspire against Lord Bookun in order to get his freedom back. For this reason she aided Mackerby Rainstle once he arrived at Mount Bookun to end the invasion.

After Daven left Crystaless, Kalbay has since decided to travel all across Crystaless and learn all she could about the world. She tends to follow her own agenda and is neither a force of evil nor justice, although she will fight to prevent rogue Clones from antagonizing vulnerable denizens.
