Clothing Style

Daven's attire during his visit to Crystaless consisted of a dark red shirt and a gray jacket, the sleeves of which he kept rolled up to the elbows. He also wore black fingerless gloves and a dark maroon scarf. His pants were dark red and tucked into black and red shin-high boots that also had protective metal plates attached. He had a black belt which his gun holster was attached to, and the band he used to tie his hair back was maroon.

Personality

On the surface, Daven is a hot headed, rude, and aggressive space pirate that cares little for others and focused only on his own agenda. He's quick to anger and has a rather foul mouth, and he doesn't have much regard for other people. However, upon spending more time with him, it becomes obvious that Daven is much more aggressive in his words than he actually is in his actions. He doesn't like to resort to violence unless necessary, and he is much more methodical and thoughtful than his demeanor implies. He tends to act aggressive to get people to leave him alone, since he dislikes being around strangers for too long or being in groups. He prefers to work solo, the only exception being his companion, Howl. He tends to be a bit rough and sharp tongued with Howl as well, but he does look out for his partner and gets legitimately aggressive toward things that threaten him.

Although he has the reputation of being a notorious space pirate/criminal, Daven only really cares about his personal goal to chart every section of the Eternity. He resorted to learning various skills and commiting crimes in order to gather resources and funds to make his ship fully prepared to travel throughout the Eternity. He doesn't care what laws he has to break in order to get what he needs, but he'd rather be crafty and steal without casualties rather than forcing his way through and hurting others. Daven gets a little touchy when people assume he's a violent criminal just because he's a space pirate, and he'd rather be known as a thief than a murderer. That being said, he isn't incapable of killing people that threaten him or his mission, although he'll be more willing to spare others if he's in the field rather than in the cockpit.

Daven is at his calmest and most comfortable when he's by himself or only with Howl and exploring new lands. He's skilled navigator and can easily create mental maps of his surroundings/environment and backtrack without getting lost, and his access to digital scanning and mapping tools make it even easier for him. Although known as a skilled pilot, he enjoys being in the field more and finds more satisfaction and getting to use his own sharp instincts and senses alone rather than applying them to his ship's capabilities. He's actually at his most reasonable and level headed when working on his charts, and as long as any others around him don't talk to him or provide too much distraction he doesn't particularly care if he has company or not. Daven is also much more considerate of natives in new lands he explores, and he tries his best not to disrupt the environment or the lives of the locals, and he'll only interact with them if he want to learn more about the culture or more about the land. He's much easier to get along with and makes a point to not offend natives and be as patient as he can.

Backstory

Little is known about Daven's early life, yet it is known that he was born somewhere in Lylaeterial and lived with his younger sister, Kaza. His relationship with his parents is not confirmed, so it is not known how long he lived with his parents or if he did at all. All that is known is that sometime during his childhood he learned that Lylaeterial was only a single galaxy that was incredibly far from a mythical "first galaxy" called the Eternity. It was only in recent years that they were able to discover that the Eternity might actually exist due to improvements in technology for tools used in astronomy.

Daven wanted nothing more to see this world that was previously thought to only be a fairy tale, since the world was always described to be magical and full of powerful deities and people who could harness the elements. Despite Lylaeterial's vastly superior technology compared to other galaxies, there were few organizations interested in exploring the unknown reaches of the Eternity due to the distance and also the skepticism of how beneficial it would be given the resources required to reach it. Daven became frustrated by the lack of initiative around him and determined he would travel to the Eternity himself one day and chart the entire galaxy. For this reason he worked very hard in his studies, especially the subjects that were needed to become a great pilot and a skilled navigator. He apparently was a high ranking student in a pilot academy, but he rarely got along with his peers and eventually dropped out due to feeling like his efforts were being pushed in the wrong direction.

Daven apparently resorted to crime in order to attain the resources needed to assemble a proper ship for long-range space travel, and he eventually became an infamous space pirate by the time he had gotten everything he needed. After assembling his ideal ships, one single-pilot ship for short ranged flight and a larger ship that could carry his smaller ship along with all his supplies and act as a home for him on his travels, Daven set out for the Eternity.

It is known that he visited each of the planets of the Eternity and charted/mapped all of them at some point, although the timeline is uncertain to anyone other than him. Sometime along his tour he visited the planet of Kiami and inadverently picked up a stowaway native of Mount Kiampee, which was an odd ferret/squirrel like creature named Howl. Although a bit annoyed by his chatty and hyperactive new companion, he eventually warmed up to the creature and resigned to keep him around, especially since Howl was more knowledgable about the customs of the Eternity than he was.

His most notable appearance in the Eternity's history was his crash-landing on Crystaless. He landed on the Clone side of the Crystal Field divide, and Lord Bookun captured him and forced him to use his superior technology to break through the barrier so he could invade Crystal Field. Daven ended up contributing to the invasion in exchange for his life, although he conspired against the Clones to eventually make his escape. He ended up covertly working with another Clone named Kalbay and the captured princess of Crystaless, Princess Purity, to help the efforts against Lord Bookun, and when Mackerby Rainstle arrived at Mount Bookun to stop the invasion, Daven ended up siding with the young Bellinan to strike down Lord Bookun. After receiving help from the Bellinans to repair his ship and gather more supplies, he eventually mapped out the entirety of Crystaless before taking off once again.

His whereabouts following this incident are unknown.
