     An accomplished and beloved professor at Heaven College who currently teaches classes about the subconscious world. They're exceedingly intelligent and worldly, having a nigh-divine expanse of knowledge to match with their awesome and imposing aura.

     Despite their successes and talents, Remaelius is incredibly humble, generous, and caring. They have an inherent love for all beings and wish for peace and prosperity across Entirety. Because of this, they've become more distant in recent years, as Heaven College has become increasingly discriminatory and hostile toward their sister institution. Though they try to keep their feelings hidden to avoid the Overkings punishing their students, Remaelius is secretly working to uncover why Heaven College changed so drastically and how they can help make it a universally safe and welcoming place again.

     Remaelius can come off as cold and imposing thanks to their awesome aura, intimidating height, and the fact that their default expression tends to be dismissing and hard to read. They effortlessly command the attention and respect to others, so those who see them immediately understand why they're such a prominent member of Heaven College's faculty.

     The truth is that Remaelius is one of the nicest beings in all of Entirety. They're kindhearted, gentle, and very patient with others, especially with their students. They're always willing to take the time to help others and don't mind if they have to repeat themselves or if someone's problems can't be instantly fixed. They're very altruistic and compassionate, able to understand the feelings of others with ease, respect them, and surround everyone around them with a sort of pure and all-encompassing love. However, this does come with a consequence: they feel too deeply for those who have wronged them and others and do not wish to bring harm to anyone, often allowing people to take advantage of them and permitting their co-workers to continue doing things they disapprove of without conflict.

     Though they're always happy to have company they spend much of their time alone, either reading, studying, sleeping, or observing. They become particularly reserved whenever their co-workers and superiors make their true motivations known, as they feel guilty for their inability to be strong enough to confront them and put an end to the needless evils they unhesitatingly indulge in. They do not feel anger, only a deep bitterness toward their own weakness.

ATTRIBUTES

"Hm? You wish to stroke my tail? Very well, but please be gentle with it."

     Remaelius stands at an imposing 10'0" - just tall enough to inspire awe but not so tall that others feel insignificant in their presence. They have smooth, wavy white hair that's often tied up and somehow seems to have a degree of iridescence to it. As they're a unicorn, they have a black horn, long tail, adorable floppy ears, and furred legs that end in hooves. All of their furred parts are decorated with intricate golden markings and faint pastel shapes.

STYLE

     Remaelius always wears flowing robes and dresses, often evocative of stained glass and celestial views. They have a fondness for pastel colors, elaborate designs, and gems. They like to look mystical and ethereal, but they also just like to be comfortable. Supposedly they have a secret pajama closet, the contents of which are too soft and relaxing for mortal minds to comprehend...

BODY LANGUAGE

     Remaelius doesn't emote much, which can lead to others assuming that they're cold and hard to impress. The truth is that they're just very reserved and relaxed, so it often doesn't occur to them to actively smile or express themself. This makes them hard to read, as they tend to be very still.

     The very concept of magic, distilled into something subtle and soothing.

VOICE

     Remaelius is soft-spoken, with a voice that's gentle and smooth. It's just as overwhelmingly calming as the rest of them. Those with the fortune to have heard them hum claim it's the most beautiful sound they've ever heard.

STORY

     Like many immortal beings, Remaelius' origins are something of a mystery; even Remaelius themself recalls little of their life before Heaven College. They spent much of their life as a wandering spirit, drawn to the suffering. They would seek out the sorrowful to give them a brief relief from the emotions that weighed them down, they would find the injured to heal them and rehabilitate them, and they would take the dying into their arms and soothe them, taking away their pain and easing them into a peaceful afterlife.

     After a while they found themself being invited to Heaven College. They fell in love with it quickly, admiring its dedication to understanding all life in Entirety and the careful balance needed to allow all beings to thrive. They graduated with an impressive record and was offered a position as a professor that they accepted without hesitation. They were a perfect fit and had an unrivaled passion for their job, quickly becoming one of Heaven College's best and most beloved professors.

     But things changed over time for reasons Remaelius never quite understood. Heaven College gradually became a place that detested demons instead of respecting them, a place that didn't hesitate to take advantage of lower beings for the purposes of the Overkings. Remaelius became quieter over time, more distant, less willing to form connections with their fellow faculty members. They poured their heart into their students and their students only, knowing that if they imbued their lessons with the open-mindedness and humility they were once taught with that perhaps they would go on to restore Heaven College to its former glory. They've made it their responsibility to bear the burdens of the like-minded, standing strong in the face of the vitriol of the Overkings to carefully continue building a better Entirety for everyone.

ABILITIES

"Let us not resort to violence. I do not wish to see harm befall you."

     Remaelius has the ability to heal almost any wound, ailment, or illness; they're even able to revive the dead so long as the soul is present in some way. They can cleanse poisons, lift curses... their healing ability even applies to inorganic objects! They can unspoil food, purify water, unweather objects, repair things, and even alleviate negative emotions while one is in their presence.

     Their other primary ability is to travel through the subconscious plane. Upon falling asleep or sufficient meditation, Remaelius gains awareness in their own subconscious and has the power to enter open minds and explore. They primarily use this ability to help soothe others directly or to discover what ails them so that they might help them in the waking world. It's against their moral code to alter anyone's subconscious, even if for good: they can interact with things and bring temporary solace to one's inner self, but they mustn't unnaturally change or provoke anything.

     Remaelius has a strange calming aura that seems to devour hostile emotions. They're difficult to fight simply because it's difficult to work up the will to fight them. For better or worse, they don't take advantage of this ability as they lack the desire to fight or otherwise harm others. The calming effect increases the closer one gets to them and they can increase its intensity at will to the extent of making those around them fall asleep. Like ya go to assassinate them and then before you know it you're half asleep on their lap being gently pet while they lecture you on the importance of being kind to others...

     Those who fall asleep around them always have very relaxing and pleasant dreams, even if Remaelius doesn't enter their subconscious.
