Personality
Woody is a confident, upbeat Toucannon who’s been a member of Ann’s team ever since he was captured as a Pikipek on Route 1. He’s talkative and friendly, though he can come off as somewhat arrogant.
Early Team Mishaps
Woody was always a tough fighter on the team, and he assumed he could get along with just about anyone who joined. However, when he confessed his love of Elain after knowing her for (checks notes) like a week, he got a crash course in realizing he wasn’t quite as good at socialization as he thought he was. Throughout his journeys with the team, Woody became more perceptive of how others felt, and he was even able to help comfort Arya as she was going through a rough patch. Although he often portrays himself as a fun-loving, confident guy, opening up to others and letting his insecurities show has helped Woody grow as a person and a teammate.
These Days
Although Woody is still one of the strongest fighters on Ann’s team, he’s begun to take an interest in training the younger members of the team. He’s also working on grappling his complicated feelings towards Arya, but luckily, he has a good support structure to help him get through it.
Relationships
Elain was initially uncomfortable around Woody, especially after he evolved and made a botched love confession to her. After being on the team with him for a while, though, the two eventually reconciled and became good friends. Woody will now sometimes confide in Elain, which she accepts with some amusement.
Woody helps Icarus train and talks to him enthusiastically about how cool it is to fly. He also fancies Icarus quite a bit, but at the suggestion of Elain, he’s been taking THIS romantic pursuit slow.
Arya was quiet and withdrawn, often keeping her true feelings to herself–but it was Woody who first noticed that she was upset about her role in the Wishiwashi totem battle, and he attempted to comfort her. After that, the two remained somewhat close, though Woody wishes he could’ve done more to help her.
