A born performer, Aro can take anything and blow it comically out of proportion, everything she does comes with a healthy dose of pizzazz and showmanship. With a high self-confidence, its impossible to insult her; she knows herself better than they do, she knows when their perception is wrong. Being a performer comes with the ability to pretend and act and thus Aro has many different faces; the bold, daring adventurer, the charming Casanova, the witty rogue - basically anything you want, she can be but there's always the smallest hint of the true Aro in all her acts. The 'True' Aro is a rather caring but closed off individual, willing to do almost anything to help those she cares about but refusing to accept any help with her own problems or open up about herself at all. Aro has a naturally approachable and friendly aura which draws others to her and she takes great pleasure in hearing about other kamishiba - for more than just her job at that! Many of the socially elite may refer to her as 'Unladylike' and 'a bit of a brute' but Aro is very graceful in her movements and speech - unless you are very close to her in which case you'll see the more ungraceful side of her appear.
Being an Enchanted Kamishiba, Aro has another form with a different personality. Her Enchanted Form has yet to give herself a name - believing it to be a pointless exercise - and so the few who know this form merely refer to her as Aro as well. This Aro lacks all the bright, loud, attention grabbing personality that is typically associated with the name 'Aro'. She's a thief who cares about little else but trinkets and treasures. And she will do anything to get her paws on them. She's a silent shadow, sneaking through towns in the night without a soul realising she's there at all. Rarely does this form speak, preferring to simply stare at you til you leave. But should she speak you can be certain it won't be anything pleasant, more likely than not it will be a scathing remark designed to goad you into a battle which you will surely lose.
The two forms exist as separate entities within the same body; think two souls sharing a body. Within the confines of Aro's mind, the two personalities interact strangely. Often they can co-exist in peace, the Enchanted form's adventures giving inspiration to Aro for her tales. But other times they will bicker and argue, Aro loves to humiliate her Enchanted form by telling tales of her failures and slip-ups. While the Enchanted Form makes it difficult for Aro to continue with her job, always trying to force herself out in order to rob her audience. Aro has gained a rather impressive control over her Enchanted form and does not always slip into that form when she doesn't want to but even a master can slip up sometimes...

Present
Aro's job is her life. Travelling to every region, every island, every town, city, or village. There is no place she would not venture for her stories. Crowds and adventure call to Aro, a siren's song she cannot ignore. While she currently spends more of her time looking for stories rather than telling them, Aro is never opposed to taking a break to retell a story - whether an old favourite or a twist on a classic.
Aro has good reason to spend less time in the spotlight; her family. With so many members spread far over Aurora Land and several of them missing all together, Aro is nearly always on the move to see them and help where she can (or to cause trouble for friends). Of course she does not mind the travel - she loves to travel and it does help provide her with adventures and material for her stories. And then there is Sweetloaf, the lady who has her heart, who Aro will always make time for, will always cross the land for.
Despite their mutual understanding of each other, Aro still spends many hours in solitude trying to control her nameless Enchanted Form. The thief hidden within her poses a risk to her carefully built reputation and Aro would do anything to protect it from damage.
History
Aro is not one to share her past - even those closest to her know very little about her history. Anyone who asks about her past usually get a rather sharp 'It's not your business' in response. With how fiercely Aro guards her past you would expect it to be something rather dark or dangerous. But that couldn't be further from the truth. Aro grew up in Kousetsu Mountain Village with her mother and two half Siblings, a cushy and pleasant lifestyle. She attended the same Private School as her older half-sister Paige. But Aro - despite her intelligence - struggled in school. She spent more time deep in the gossip wells than she did studying or even attending classes. She left school as soon as she could and started her new life as a travelling Story Teller and Bard, and the rest is history.
The biggest event in Aro's life since she left her old life behind happened during the dark month of Halloween. During a fateful cruise, Aro ended up on the island of Aekior. Avoiding the Cursed Captain and his crew, Aro made her way to the treasure chamber where she found a key. As if possessed, her legs ran down the right path without her orders until she reached a chest. Upon opening it she blacked out but has the faintest memory of a voice speaking to her. When she next awoke, she found herself no longer alone within her own mind.

Storytelling
Telling stories is Aro's true passion. Her passion comes through in her animated retellings that keep everyone enraptured. Within her lies a vast library of stories, many unlike anything heard in Aurora Land before and others created by her.
Singing
Choir was mandatory during her schooling years. Singing is not one of Aro's passions although some tales come only in the form of song. Aro can hold a tune but her singing voice is not the most beautiful thing you'll hear and won't stick in your mind as much as her tales.
Sleight of Hand
A neat trick self-taught from the school years as a way to get other students' notes. Normally Aro doesn't use it for much more than information gathering and for simple magic tricks to impress children. But it is her Enchanted form who truly benefits from this skill.
Reading Kamishibas
Aro has had plenty of practice at reading other kamishibas like her own personally library. Predicting others and making a guess at what's on their minds is second nature to Aro and her predictions are almost always correct, it is only the stoic kind that continue to vex her.

A drawing depicting a pink Kamishiba, crossed out with 'NO' written above it. Aro kept this drawing from Harper despite the shift in their relationship because it makes her laugh.
Strange Orb [Quest Reward]
A strange light emits from this orb as it hums and floats in place. Aro was gifted this orb from the Guardian after the storm in summer for her part in returning their stolen orb.

- Aro has always been the tallest in her family and classes, she's yet to find a normal Kamishiba taller than herself.
- As a child and young teen, Aro was extremely self-conscious of her height as she was told it was 'unsightly' and 'not becoming of a lady'.
- Now she is rather proud of her height.
- Somehow she manages to always look pristine and perfect no matter the weather.
- Secretly Aro loves children, mostly because of their open and honest fascination with her stories.

Sweetloaf's a sassy little flirt and the playful banter they exchange so effortlessly keeps a smile on Aro's face for days after they part ways. Aro loves to hear the crazy tales Sweetcheeks has from her time in the clinic. The feelings Aro has for Sweetloaf go much deeper than just friends but she is reluctant to think deeper about them - despite the fact the two of them have already been on a few dates together - and instead chooses just to enjoy the moments they have together.
Half Sister
Paige
Her oldest Half-Sibling and holder of her biggest secret; her true past. Aro does her best to keep Paige silent about her past but no amount of threats will make her destroy those baby photos. Aro secretly looked up to her older sister as a child, the sassy diva was a massive inspiration for Aro's stage personality. Paige was as successful as she was beautiful and Aro always felt a mixture of envy and awe towards her sister. Even as an adult she is still impressed by Paige's achievements although no longer envious of them. Only recently has Aro realised that she is dating Paige's childhood best friend and now has to worry about her sister exposing her.

Nevis
The middle child, Nevis was often on the receiving end of girly clothes thanks to Paige. Aro was able to skilfully dodge Paige's 'fashion shows' by using Nevis as a scapegoat. She was never close to her half-brother, he's a helpful, calm soul that's just as beautiful as their older sister.

Kanaya
Kanaya is an... Interesting individual to say the least. Determined to find her lost twin yet still willing to stop and have a little fun - and start a fire. The amount of trouble this one Kamishiba can get into is absolutely fascinating, something Aro would never dare stop; its very inspiring all.

Mercutio
Once mistaken for her brother - now known to be her Half-Brother, Mercutio is slightly younger than her and a soft soul she likes to keep and eye on. She knows in great detail the harsh realities of what he's lived through and seeks to help make his life as an adult much happier. She strives to always be there when he needs her most; whether that's to watch over his family for him or just to provide an entertaining tale.

Despite knowing each other for a long time, Salvador and Aro can never see eye to eye. Aro knows that Sally only sees her as an annoyance, someone who's getting in the way of his peaceful life with Mercutio. Sally always makes his dislike and distrust of Aro blatantly obvious when she's around. As hurtful as some of his accusations can be, Aro mostly ignores him. No matter what she does, she cannot change his mind.

Mercutio's first adopted son, it was only natural the Aro attempt to gain a positive relationship with him. Her relationship with the little Sunshine didn't start so bright. The child took an instant dislike to her but slowly he warmed up to her. Harper is extremely perspective and bold for one so young, something that impresses Aro immensely. She's invested in how Harper grows and the things he'll accomplish, albeit from a safe distance.

Mercutio's second adopted child. Skyla was a fiery girl who had just begun to grow confident in herself and her place in the world when she was cruely torn away. Aro believes that she is still alive, out there somewhere. She seeks out what information she can find through the gossip mills.

Pepper says little but sees all, a trait Aro can admire. Her niece is now a fully fledged adult who has found herself as a private detective. Putting her sharp mind to good use finding missing Kamis and pets - among other things of course. They mostly only catch each other in passing now - other than large family gatherings - but their tradition of exchanging information continues, and Pepper never hesitates to seek her out if she needs something.

Where Pepper grew large and strong, Echo stayed small and got fluffy. Despite maturing, Echo still maintains much of her childish energy, still leaving Aro trying to keep up. While not one for stories, Echo still has plenty she can tell Aro. Aro adores her little niece, doing her best to protect the innocent soul.

The newest edition to the De Serio family, Othello is still wide eyed at the world. Aro enjoys his amazement at the many, many tales she has to tell and is more than happy to indulge him - even if he feels asleep most of the time.

Aro adores her travelling companion although she is often not sure why Hubris continues to willingly follow her around given that Hubris seems to enjoy attacking her and is much happier in a home environment. Not matter the Imp's reasons, Aro will always be grateful for the Toybi's company, knowing that despite her absolutely tiny size, the fiery creature has always got her back.

Aro found Cas without her memories a long time ago, she allowed her to join her on her travels for a short while and became good friends. Cas has a charming accent and sees the good in everyone, something Aro can admire though she doesn't feel the same way. The two often meet up when their paths cross to exchange stories of their adventures over a warm fire and hard drink.

Willow Thompson is a rather famous journalist and Aro is privileged to know her personally. Aro reads all of her articles and greatly admires her, as she has carved a successful career for herself in a world that tried to put her down. She is aware that Willow sees her as a pest and a rival and, well, Aro will help her indulge that idea.

Aro does not know the name of this beast of a Kamishiba but does her best to warn others of them. Aro was attacked by them once in the Gloomy Forest and assumed that would be the last she'd see of them but she later saved Mercutio from the beast. Their attack on Mercutio blinded him despite Aro's intervention. She feels nothing but anger towards this being for all the harm they've inflicted on her and Mercutio.
