Salvador keeps himself busy; working on the farm, improving and repairing the farm house, caring for his children, selling excess produce at the farmers market. No two days are the same

After the loss of two children, Salvador has done his best to work on his overprotectiveness and how he smothers his children. Mercutio has helped immensely.

Salvador was born to a caravan of merchants, although specifically he was born to the guards of the caravans. He was trained to fight from the moment he was able to move, his parents may have loved him but even to them he was still a guard in training. The few other children in the caravans avoided him, his size was intimidating and their parents always told them to leave him be. He spent much of his free time away from the caravans at a young age. It was on one of these adventures that he came across Mercutio. He was starved, only skin and bones. Feeling pity, Salvador shared his lunch with the smaller Kami child. The two boys quickly became friends, spending whatever time they could in their small clearing. Salvador’s visits were somewhat regular; the first week of every other month.

It became something he looked forwards to, the only thing he did that was just for him and not for the caravans. They grew into teenagers; Salvador filling out and growing into the strong and noble warrior expected of him while Mercutio stayed small, slim, and boney. But as they grew, so did something in Salvador. He fell in love. With Mercutio.

As Salvador sat in their meadow, mulling over how to confess his feelings, Mercutio ran into him. In a flurry of emotion, Mercutio confessed everything his family did to him. Furious at the abuse, Salvador made him a promise; to take him away from the family to protect him. He was certain that the caravans would accept the young Kami. But that was not the case. Their reaction was negative and immediate. They told him he had no business talking to outsiders and that a Male outsider would not be tolerated as his mate inside the caravans. Salvador was forbidden from leaving the camp, kept under constant watch by his fellow guards.

The caravans soon moved on, and Salvador could only watch as the forest got smaller and smaller, his friend becoming further away. Months past and Salvador's longing for his friend grew while his loyalty to the caravans diminished. He was still restricted and watched, no one trusted him any more and they were questioning his loyalty to the caravans. When a large group of bandits attacked the caravans, Salvador did what he thought previously unthinkable and abandoned the caravans in the chaos of the fight. He made his way back to the Gloomy Forest alone however when he got there he found things much different than when he left. His childhood friend was gone, left one night not long after the caravans left the Forest. One villager told him it was most likely due to the marriage his parents had arranged. Salvador was alone once more. With no where else to go and no other plans, Salvador waited. He waited in the clearing where he had often met with his friend in hopes he would return, leaving only for food and short conversations with the villagers. The years past and Salvador grew from a gangling teenager into a strong, young adult, keeping up with his training as to protect the villagers should they ever be attacked. Then one day, his patience was rewarded; his friend returned. However, while Salvador's feelings had never diminished, never changed, his friend had thought he'd betrayed, that he no longer cared. It took many months to repair what had been damaged but Salvador was willing to make it work so he could confess his deeper feelings.

But it was Mercutio, not Salvador, who confessed first. Salvador was overwhelmed but quickly returned his sentiment. Together they built a happy life; building a house and farm together, adopting children, raising them together. Even after Mercutio was attacked and blinded, they were still happy. They adapted quickly to all changes in their lives.

But when Mercutio’s mother turned up once more, in the form of a Lopdiemis, to kill him. Everything started to fall apart. Skyla sacrificed herself, offering to die in his place, and the Lop accepted the deal. She was given but a few months before she suddenly disappeared. Then Harper left suddenly one night after an argument with Salvador, which left him banished to the sofa until he changed his attitude, becoming less overbearing on his children.
