Plystrian Biology
Total Planets Dominantly Inhabited: ~100
Technological Level: Galactic Advanced (Before First Meeting)

  • Most Plystrians have notably Bird and Lizard-like features thanks to their evolutionary history as their species evolved from certain amounts of primordial birds that found their way back to the ground, and stayed there, continuing to adapt and become what the species are today.
  • The tails on Plystrians are prehensile, with popular work-out routines involving training them. However, with certain conditions such as continual Zero-G and lack of usage, these tails can lose this feature.
  • Feathers found on the species are tied to the internal chemicals that are responsible for sexual development and presentation. As such, the more definitively masculine of Plystrains have more colourful feathers of greens, blues, and reds. On the contrary, those that are more feminine will exhibit feathers of greys and browns.
  • Perhaps a part of their genetic lineage that has stuck around, the hands, feet, and shins of Plystrians are made out of scales, with the thicker scale masses being considerably tougher then their smaller and softer counterparts. Furthermore, certain genetics have been found in Plystrian populations that bring slightly different abilities to those that carry them, such as a slightly more complex voice boxes or certain areas growing longer feathers then usual.
  • Most Plystrian can live to roughly 120, though some have been known to reach 150.
  • When compared to other space-fairing races such as humans, Plystrians are actually more likely to have twins then single children. However, they are more unlikely to have triplets or more. It is commonly accepted by biologists that this is a left-over trait from the change from an egg-laying species and towards a species with wombs.
