For years, the Diodato family were sure only Terry could make Maximilian smile, until he surprised them all by introducing them to his girlfriend Hannah.

Hannah and Max met by accident, she had been looking to avenge a family member of hers, and Max had been sent after the same drug lord who killed Hannah's family member.
They ran into each other in the drug lord's mansion, teaming up and ending the bastard. After which they went separate ways.
A month and a half later, Hannah and Max ran into each other once more, this time at a meeting between Hannah's family's cartel and the Diodato family.
It was at this point the two decided to start dating.

Hannah is calm, sweet, and proud; if you insult her family (Either side of it) she will make sure you remember not to in the future. She stopped going on assassination and kidnapping jobs after Matthew was born, but couldn't sit still so instead started working as a sort of manager for the family's dealers and fences. Safer, and easier to stay home, but still something to do besides being a housewife.

When Fred and Tia were killed she became incredibly quiet and reserved for quite a while. Matthew comforted her for the most part, while Maximilian and Donald hunted the  bastards down and put them in the basement. Max revealed to Hannah he'd been taking their fingers one by one, counting down the days 'till they had to face her.
By then Hannah's sorrow had evolved into rage.
Neither man left the basement in one piece.
