Matthew is Maximilian's oldest son, and the most like him physically, but mentally couldn't be further from his father's cynical attitude. He's much more of a mama's boy, but he does look up to his father. He and his brother Donald work as the family's kidnappers and resident torturers. Matthew is built more like the guys on his dad's side of the family, that is, he's built like a tank. Because of this, he typically handles the larger guys he and Don encounter on the job. He's been given the nickname of Specter by the family.

Matt is level-headed, thoughtful, and forgiving, but don't think that means you can get away with insulting his family as he is just as protective of them as his mother. He personally helped his cousin Manny to get over his fear of encountering racist folks by teaching him how to properly defend himself, even on his blind side. He and Donald are very intuitive of eachother, but Matt is sometimes painfully dense around anyone else. Donald tends to think too much into things, so they balance eachother well.

When his sibling were murdered, he spent most his time consoling his mother, trying to get her to smile, to eat, just to function some days. Under advisement from his father, he did help her to convert her depression into fury, and was present when she was brought to the bastards who killed Fred and Tia.
