Kan is a natural born genius/prodigy and has always been highly intelligent at a young age. They are observant and attentive to detail; all information are easily retainted in their mind. They remember everything and like to organize the knowledge they accumulate. Since Kan grew up around a lot of books as a child, Kan tends organize their life like the table of content for one. They like order and organization and absolutely can't handle messes. Growing up, they were always more developed than their peers. Kan excelled academically and surpassed them, which contributed to their egoistical/cocky attitude. Kan is aware of their natural intelligence is not exactly humble about it. This gap in intelligence did not allowed them to socialize with others within their age range. Sometimes they speak in a way that makes them seem older than they actually are, but Kan is still childish in terms of social development and thus struggle with getting along with those older than them too. The situation caused them to shut in on theirself, and they became quite self-centered because they felt like no one could understand them.

Some sprinkits were born under lucky stars, and some were born under not so lucky ones. It's quite difficult to say which star Kan was born under. During their birth, it was seemingly unlucky. Usually when a baby is born, the doctor would hand them back to their parents with a congratulatory phrase such as "It's a healthy child!" Kan's parents however, were not part of the usual crowd since Kan was not a usual baby. Their heart rate was too low and their weight was lighter than the typical range, and thus they were not handed back to their parents but was put under critical care. After a few stressful days, Kan was released when their health was considered stable, and their parents were told that their child may run into health issues as Kan grows and develops, so it was to nobody's surprise that they do.

Kan was a weak, sickly child. They developed asthma and was physically frail, which prevented them from strenuous physical activities. Their parents, like any other loving and concerned parents would, tried to limit their physical activities but Kan didn't mind. Kan had much preferred books and indoor activities, much to their parent's relief. Just as it seems like this kitty was indeed born under an unlucky star, their parents were quick to realize after sending Kan to school that where Kan lacked in health and physical strength, they made up with their exceptional intelligence. They absorbed information faster than a sponge and quickly surpassed their peers in academics. It couldn't be brushed off as just photographic memory because not only was Kan'd memory impressive, but they understood and applied it.

At the age of 16, Kan graduated university, and at the age of 18 they obtained a doctorate from Purrasia's top university with a degree in chemistry. With their research funded and backed and with the royalties from their scientific journals and books, Kan was able to start up their own pharmaceutical company [KaRiko Pharmaceuticals]. They solo run the company and keep it small and private while producing extremely high quality medicine. Rather than making generic medicine and having it available to the general public, Kan does specialized medicine. One can think of it as "designer brand".

Since the company is run solely by them and produces customized medication with high quality ingredients, Kan charges a hefty amount for the product. Only the rich and elites can purchase them. Kan does not have customers, but rather clients since their medication are so specialized. Clients are put on a wait list and must understand that when buying their services, they must work under Kan's terms and conditions. Kan is so confident in their work that they would turn away difficult clients without batting an eye. They are quite popular and high in demand with the upper class, but Kan holds no love for them. Although they make enough to classify as a High class Sprinkit, Kan dislike the rich and does not partake in high societal events. They seems themself as better than the rich since they was able to work their way up with barely any resources; Kan didn't have to rely on any inheritance nor did they use the lower class as their stepping stone. Rather than exploit the working and lower class, Kan milks the rich for their money. But just because they has disdain for the elites doesn't mean they're a philanthropist either. Kan doesn't make their services and perfected products available for the general public.

However, Kan does offer public clinical trials. Applications and information are up on their website. While is medications are usually safe, they're not always perfect. Kan strive to product the most effective medicine with the least amount of side effects, and to do so require trial and error. If some Sprinkits are willing to take the risk, they may experience Kan's medicine for free, but with the possibility of a risk. Kan will even pay them for their time. While applications are always opened, not everyone will be accepted. Kan will only choose applicants who are the most biologically similar to their clients for testing. Age range, health conditions, sex, allergies, dietary needs, etc. Matches have to be 80% and above in order to qualify.

Magic Explanation:

Kan's magic is being able to change their own state of matter or anything they physically touch. With themself, there is no actual limitations (in regards to what they can change*) other than endurance on what they can change on their own body. They're able to change themself from solid to gas to liquid back to solid, but holding a state for prolonged period of time will be physically draining and they would not be able to do it again until after a long recovery (we're talking about days or possibly weeks). An example would be how they can harden a part of them and make it solid, or turn their face into gas (it'll just look like someone blurred out their face), or even stretch and break off their tail and then being able to reconnect them. They can also do this on other people, but it's only limited to what they can touch. If Kan touches someone's skin, they can harden it or turn it into liquid, but it's only the area of direct contact (i.e. if they grabs someone's wrist, their wrist would become gas or liquid, but their hand and forearm would stay normal... just held up by magic). Once they let go, the magic ends and the other person can revert back to normal.

Note that while Kan is limitless on where and what they can change on their own body, there is a limit to how much of their own body they can change. Their max limit cannot be more than 1/6 of their body in mass. It can be less, but it cannot be more. The area that is changed is affected by a radius and it must be adjacent. So let's say they solidifies their hand and only their hand, the magic can extend to their entire arm, however, they cannot solidify their hand and then try to do it with their feet since they are not adjacent. So, theoretically, if they were to get stabbed (Lordt, please do NOT stab my kid) and Kan hardens the area to prevent themself from being stabbed (let's say in the stomach), this leaves any area not within radius vulnerable and while the magic is still up for their stomach, someone else can stab them on their upper back or whack him across the head. (BUT I SURE HOPE KAN IS NEVER IN THIS POSITION).

Their magic only works when they are conscious and in control of it. It will not work if Kan is unconscious or in a hazy state of mind.
