Takashi Kawasara

Freshly released from an unconscious goopy state in another dimension that is also space, Takashi is composed of slightly more stardust than you or I and is lagging about 16 years behind the world around him. A father of two to four to many depending who you ask, he now works as a freelance inventor with his partner Nozomi out of their basement after they left their jobs as portal engineers at a secret underground laboratory. As co-head of development of Earth's very first portal device, he is now a wanted figure across the universe, and regularly evades both the space government and his own personal problems, such as the rift between him and his teenage children that he never got to raise.

Hyperactive and passionate, he never quite fit in in the world around him, and never particularly cared. A goofy wisecracker, he spends a good chunk of his time joking around and sometimes accidentally eluding to a deeper sadness within himself. He's full of lust, both for life and in the other sense, and very tired, with sleeping habits that make him somewhat nocturnal.
