Akio Kawasara

Reclusive high schooler with a bit of misdirected resentment towards everyone. Besides typical high school plights, he's fighting off alien invasions and trying to avoid getting along with his birth parents.

He's calmer than his sister, but more pessimistic, always looking for reasons not to have hope in something or someone. It's symptomatic of his underlying trust issues, especially shown towards adults. Doesn't care much for people in general, but can be more talkative around the few people he's already close to.

Usually has his face buried in a handheld game console, his sketchbook, or something on the ground. He enjoys gaming, drawing, and botany, and is particularly knowledgeable about flowers and plants. Good friends with Mira and Cameron, and a member of the newspaper club for a brief time. Eventually works part-time with Oliver at a library-slash-botanical-garden headed by these two.
