Harold
Sole toaster of the Kawasara household. Gained sentience after Takashi gave it legs for convenience.
Sneaky and curious, much like its closest friend, though Harold is much more courteous than them. Goes out of his way to be kind and useful to humans, and is generally very polite. Tends to freak out when in danger or when people aren't getting along, and can be cowardly when faced with new situations.
Likes making friends and being useful. An atypically shaped shoulder to lean on, many characters end up venting to him.

- Friends with many human characters, though he's a bit scared of them all.
- Doesn’t speak or make noise besides the occasional “ding”
- Tends to smoke when distressed (literally)
- Harold and Kaku can communicate on a wavelength non-robotic characters can't pick up on
- Despite no longer being bound to a plug to function, it still needs to charge overnight
Design Notes
- Typical 2-slot metal toaster with two robotic legs and a blue tray it keeps behind its back
- Tray can be used as a shield, or to pick up toasted items after they pop up
- Conveys emotion through body language in its legs, tray, etc.
