Nozomi Kawasara

Freshly released from an unconscious goopy state in another dimension that is also space, Nozomi is composed of slightly more stardust than you or I and is lagging about 16 years behind the world around her. A mother of two to four to many depending who you ask, she now works as a freelance inventor with her partner Takashi out of their basement after they left their jobs as portal engineers at a secret underground laboratory. As co-head of development of Earth's very first portal device, she is now a wanted figure across the universe and regularly evades the space government. Trying desperately as she does to close the rift between her and her teenage children that she never got to raise, it doesn't seem to be working out.

Always the quirky loner kid, she never quite fit in in the world around her, but never particularly cared. Quiet and chill but nonetheless authoritative, she will raise her voice when she needs to, though she enjoys joking around and teasing people. Has her shit together to an obsessive degree and is fond of routine and stability. She plans her days in detail and tries really hard to keep the more impulsive people around her organized, yet she feels a deeper sadness within herself that's not as easy to work away at.
