Profile

Scott was born and, for the first part of his life, raised near Toronto, Canada. The runt of the proverbial litter, a title that wasn't helped by Scott being one of the shorter members of his family, Scott found himself jostling for relevance between dozens of cousins although if there was one force that made sure Scott got everything he needed it would be his older sibling Meinhard. Scott lived a fairly average life, even up until highschool where, a short relationship with another fellow named Josh let Scott finally come to terms with his attraction to men. To say nothing about his love of film and movies which led him to have a future dream of one day working as some famed director out there. However all that would change when Meinhard had an idea and a bit too much money to spend. The elder sibling disappeared for awhile, returning with the stories of a farm that was owned and run by them, where they were  almost entirely self-sufficient. Scott, not knowing any better, decided to join his sibling and try to strike it out down south in America. Something that in hindsight he was thankful for. The good and bad.

While the farm life was fairly boring for the most part it would occasionally become more interesting when Scott's younger cousin Alex came to stay with the two of them whenever her parents were deployed or away. Soon enough Alex became a semi-regular staple of day to day life and Scott might have been content to live that way forever. That wasn't in the cards however when, after a visit confirmed it, Meinhard developed a terminal illness that Scott does his best to avoid talking about as best he can. Between payments to try and help as well as final expenses when they finally passed. Meinhard's and now Scott's farm fell on hard times. A farm with nothing to it. Not even a single animal left except for one; a pig that had snuck away and lived in the nearby woods. Occasionally returning to feed.  Scott exited his home one day to see the pig just sitting on his drive-way, expecting to be fed after Scott found no reason to put feed out there anymore, soon enough however the two had something of a symbiotic bond and eventually Tuskers, as he would be known, would make himself such a regular at Scott's home that even as things got a bit rough he refused to sell the animal or let it be harmed.

Eventually a silver lining shone through as his cousin Alex reentered the picture. A deal was brokered between her parents and Scott to let her live there on the farm in exchange for regular payments to take care of the both of them so long as she lived there and went to school. A deal Scott agreed to although he did his best to find a revenue stream to help pay some of the expenses. Luck and his knowledge of the art of film soon led to him approaching an at-the-time small online publication. Adding his movie reviews to the various other reviews and articles for media. While the site is still fairly obscure it has earned enough traffic that Scott believes that he can survive on how much he makes a month even if he has to scrimp and save and while he still has that distant dream to make movies? Another dream has joined in. Namely to make his sibling's farm thrive once more and make it all worth it.
